- From US$184.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 421 reviewsAll the staff in Royal Sportsman Hotel were super nice but professional — offering suggestions on where to eat, what to do, how to go to attractions etc. They were clearly short-staffed — I saw many of them worked long hours (especially the F&B members) but yet they were cheery and helpful to me throughout my stay. The room was exceptional, cosy and clean. The location was only 5 minutes walk from Porthmadog train station.Guest review byYvonneSingapore
- From US$185.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 718 reviewsThe lodge is located just outside of the main area of the town, so it's both quiet - and convenient. The building is old and quiant, but the interior is tastefully decorated, and the rooms are renovated in the best possible way, with all the amenities and comforts characteristic of a modern hotel. Annie is exemplary host, gracious and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully served.Guest review byDmitryIsrael
- From US$333.22 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 525 reviewsThe whole hotel is very comfortable, right on the beach, with a wonderful pool and jacuzzi. The breakfast is plentiful and everyone has their own table. The whole behavior, dress, service reminded me of the passing world of the British aristocracy. The staff is cute and polite, and we even saw a harp concert during our stay.Guest review byLaszloHungary

The Town has a good many shops selling outdoor clothing, a number of cafes and hotel/restaurants. A small bakers but not a decent handy supermarket if you are self catering. Take your time exploring the town but don't expect too much. Good service and good food at the nearby Swallow Falls Inn. The Swallow Falls themselves are disappointingGuest review byphilipUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Conwy is a busy friendly town.
Conwy is a busy friendly town. It has lovely shops, delicatessen, pubs, cafes and restaurants. The harbour is at the bottom end of the High Street where you will find the smallest house and river cruises. There is a lovely coastal walk to the marina from the harbour. The railway station and bus services are excellent.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
You can never have too long in Llanberis area!
You can never have too long in Llanberis area! The mountains & lakes are stunning, and there is so much else to explore too. Snowdonia has a magical quality to it that makes it so special. Llanberis is also a great base from which to explore outlying places e.g. during my trip, as well as completing my main goals of climbing Snowdon and Tryfan, I took daytrips from Llanberis to Caernarfon and Anglesey on one day and Llandudno & Conwy on the other, visiting castles, National Trust properties and beaches on teh way. The various driving routes to and from these places back to Llanberis were a joy in themselves. The nearby Pen-y-Gwryd hotel is so interesting, steeped in mountaineering / Everest history - although it was lovely to have the place almost to myself to look around, it is a shame it is not promoted a bit more as a place to visit for a cup of tea / place to stay.Guest review bySerenaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A small, compact city that's a little run-down and in need of some government cash to bring more people in. We've never been in such a quiet city centre on a Saturday night; plenty of pubs, not enough people! So many Turkish barbers, so few decent restaurants...and no hotels! Plenty of take-out eateries, but that's not what tourists need! Lovely setting, Welsh government: you're missing out on tourism in Bangor, so splash the cash and glam it up...decent restaurants, a couple of hotels and a modern bar or two. The city should be very grateful for the Black Bull, JD Wetherspoon's, the only busy pub in town!Guest review byAnnetteUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are looking for an amazing beach with great dunes for long walks Aberdyfi is great. Other than that it is a very quiet seaside town with a few shops and places to eat. There is a train station that can take you along the coast, also a golf club and a bowling clubGuest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
