- From US$174.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 661 reviewsRoom is cosy and nicely designed (I love the flowery lampshades!). I simply adore the breakfast room, the sun shines through and it's just a perfect way to start the morning - the full English breakfast is amazing as well. Staff are endearing and lovely. We enjoy the walk around and get to see the horses and the sheep, the view is stunning. It is nicely situated in between Bath and Bristol.Guest review byCarrieHong Kong

There was nothing much where we stayed in the actual village but a Garden centre was nearby for breakfasts and a local store for snacks and drinks and anything else we needed. We spent the day at a wedding held at Tortworth Court which was absolutely excellent for facilities, gardens, views and services. Very beautiful!Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Almondsbury Village is an attractive village with a pub and community shop. The Swan Hotel up the hill, on the by pass road (A38), does good meals. There is a lay by to see the views over the Severn estuary and both bridges from the top of the hill leading down to the village. If you are staying in the hotels on the bypass it's a challenging walk both to cross the dual carriageway and walk up and down the steep hill down to the village.Guest review byPhillips - 8.0

This pub/hotel is billed as being in Old Sodbury, however, if you're doing the Cotswold's Way expect another mile off the route to get to this place! We did enjoy our brief stay though. Great staff. Friendly.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 6.0
we live in Yate and have no issues with Yate.
we live in Yate and have no issues with Yate. Chipping Sodbury (the next town) is what visitor's would like to see - an old market town. We were at the Cross hands for a 30th birthday party and know the hotel well. It is well situated for the cotswold, Bath, Bristol and just fantastic countryside but you will need a car.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We opted for an evening meal for both days and thoroughly enjoyed them both. The breakfast had plenty to choose from even those watching their weight! The room we were in was modern and very clean and we have booked more stays later on in the year.Thoroughly recommendedGuest review bystevenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Hawkesbury Upton is a nice village, centrally located for lots of tourist attractions. There are lots of nice walks in the surrounding countryside. It has a well stocked shop and 2 pubs. The Beaufort Arms is very nice, with good beer and food. The Fox Inn had recently reopened and was having teething troubles, which I hope they sort out.Guest review byMarkUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel is situated on the M5 northbound but Falfield is on the main road A38 between Thornbury and Gloucester with Berkerley Castle on a B road a mile nearer the Severn. The A38 has quite few quaint old pubs with open fire places lit in the winter. Many have hot food available lunchtime and some in the evening especially on Friday's and at weekends. Falfield is a good place for walkers. North to Berkelley Castle and a Wild Life Preserve called 'Slimbridge'; The is also over the M5 towards Dursley a place called Trotworth Court and Arboretum. Both of these two places have been open for many years especially' Slimbridge 'but people must check they are still open. There is a Garden centre in Falfield but Thornbury and Berkerley are places to visit for shops. Falfield is on the main bus route from Bristol to GloucestershireGuest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Bedrooms not to standards for price paid, many faults.
Bedrooms not to standards for price paid, many faults. Restaurant too expensive and limited menu. My 1st week stay was only made better by upgrading from a tiny room to deluxe, which was appreciated. Bathrooms cannot have tiled floors due to possible slipping, must change to safety flooring. My 2nd week, the bedroom had no heating and was given a small noisy heater, even the bathroom radiator was not wired up to mains, not good for £385.00.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom
