- From US$114.52 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,808 reviewsWe were just looking for a place to sleep on our way south from visiting historic castles and such, and were not expecting to sleep in such an ancient and beautiful building, but then this abbey popped up on our radar that night, and captured our imaginations instantly. And we were not disappointed. Amazing end to a fantastic day. Would have been cool in a building like this if the hotel offered an option for experiencing something scary in the middle of the night, as if the house was haunted or something like that, if specifically requested when booking. Perhaps the TV could be set to turn on suddenly and wake us up, and when we react by turning it off, it triggers some further spookiness, like a figure flying past our window or walking the garden beneath the window. Perhaps drawing us out of our rooms to sneak down the stairs chasing some mystery. But nah, would probably not make for a restful night haha. And might be hard to pull off without disturbing other guests, anyway.Guest review byPétur ÓlafurIceland
- From US$190.70 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 6,612 reviewsThe Room was absolutely fantastic. The staff were polite and extremely helpful with every aspect of our stay. The beds were comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. The air conditioning in the room really helped too. Overall we can't fault at all. The hotel also upgraded our room and this was such a lovely gesture.Guest review byTaraClaireIreland

Plus the WiFi helps a lot in case one has a poor network. I loved the bar and the chilling space upstairs So pretty and comfortable! And aesthetic. The staff doesn’t bother you. Birmingham is a 4-university town so there's a good range of diversity and acceptance of such. Also - lots of variety in what's available to do, eat and see at a wide £££ range of budgets. It's easy to walk and lots of pedestrian areasGuest review bySuzanneUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11.
Good location for Newmarket race course and the M11. the 24/7 bar and kitchen was a pleasant surprise as we didnt get in until 11.30pm from the concert. Breakfast was good but not as good as other IHG hotels I have stayed in. Less choice and the coffee machine that day was not working.Guest review byFrancesSpain - 8.0

What was less impressive was the overall lack of friendliness from most staff, the limited breakfast variety with no live kitchen option for omelettes, and the disappointing handling of my VOSS bottle incident. The absence of TV entertainment in the bar was also a missed opportunity to enhance the guest experiencGuest review bySmwanjaaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

A fantastic welcome and excellent service at the bar by ever cheerful and helpful Shannon. Food was fresh and excellent. Pricing strategies a bit confusing because u had to join and download the app! Food & Drinks were too expensive on the normal menu. However happy hour was very reasonably priced. 😊Guest review byMarcUnited Kingdom - 6.0

We travelled all over the UK and Ireland, and Wolverhampton was a disappointment. Whereas people were friendly to us in almost all the cities we visited, Wolverhampton folks, in general, were neutral or dismissive.Guest review byMarkCanada - 10.0

Good hotel for the price I paid can’t complain at all in fact will recommend and will be return customer for sure. Entrance from the main road to the hotel is bit confusing but I am sure after one wrong turn it will be managed . Breakfast was good had all the options available. Hot sausage Vegan option is available which I did not know at the time of stay. It would be nice to add halal sausage as well Beds were comfortable very nice and clean room but body lotion can be a good addition to the collection.Guest review byJamilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful hotel and location, lovely comfortable and relaxing furnishings and seating. Great breakfast with lots of choices. Room bathroom was dated with poor shower. Not enough catering choice for bitter beer drinkers which was disappointing.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The village is just a short walk from the guesthouse.
The village is just a short walk from the guesthouse. The village is interesting with a large village pond, village green with a monument to cyclists, two grocery stores, a chemist and two really good pubs that do food. Lots of footpaths and the odd thatched cottage are in the neighbourhood. It's about 9 miles from the NEC. The bus service seems to be good too. We had an excellent evening meal at the Strawberry gardens. I suggest booking a table in advance though, they were very good and fitted us in on a very busy Friday night. It was a later dinner than we'd hoped but it was good quality food and service.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom
