I stayed at the hotel for one night while travelling to Coventry with my mother, and we had a wonderful experience. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a lovely view. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for a restful night. We also had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant, Cogs Bar & Kitchen, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Coventry.

We were just looking for a place to sleep on our way south from visiting historic castles and such, and were not expecting to sleep in such an ancient and beautiful building, but then this abbey popped up on our radar that night, and captured our imaginations instantly. And we were not disappointed. Amazing end to a fantastic day. Would have been cool in a building like this if the hotel offered an option for experiencing something scary in the middle of the night, as if the house was haunted or something like that, if specifically requested when booking. Perhaps the TV could be set to turn on suddenly and wake us up, and when we react by turning it off, it triggers some further spookiness, like a figure flying past our window or walking the garden beneath the window. Perhaps drawing us out of our rooms to sneak down the stairs chasing some mystery. But nah, would probably not make for a restful night haha. And might be hard to pull off without disturbing other guests, anyway.

The Room was absolutely fantastic. The staff were polite and extremely helpful with every aspect of our stay. The beds were comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. The air conditioning in the room really helped too. Overall we can't fault at all. The hotel also upgraded our room and this was such a lovely gesture.

The room is so neat and beautiful. And the view from our room was really nice! Plus the WiFi helps a lot in case one has a poor network. I loved the bar and the chilling space upstairs So pretty and comfortable! And aesthetic. The staff doesn’t bother you. They help you with what you need and that’s it.

Entrance from the main road to the hotel is bit confusing but I am sure after one wrong turn it will be managed . Breakfast was good had all the options available. The village is just a short walk from the guesthouse. The village is interesting with a large village pond, village green with a monument to cyclists, two grocery stores, a chemist and two really good pubs that do food. Lots of footpaths and the odd thatched cottage are in the neighbourhood. It's about 9 miles from the NEC. The bus service seems to be good too. We had an excellent evening meal at the Strawberry gardens. I suggest booking a table in advance though, they were very good and fitted us in on a very busy Friday night. It was a later dinner than we'd hoped but it was good quality food and service.
