The city itself has a lot going on but is also a 30-minute train ride from other interesting towns, like York, Saltaire, and Ilkley. Easy to get around by food, despite the awful freeways that carve up the city and the major construction at the railway station.Guest review byrobAustralia - 10

Bradford has a multi-cultural historical centre and is vibrant , especially during the year of culture. The markets are also multicultural and recently renovated. Clearly a city with an interesting past and a great future. The city ihas become a real cultural hub.Guest review byNunnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Huddersfield doesn't have the best of reputations, which is a pity. I think that it's an absolute gem. The buildings are gorgeous, particularly to one who looks, such detail and reference to the industrial past. From the entrance steps to the railway station, one can see a lion and a prime minister. If you roam and keep your eyes open, there is so much more. I ate at my hotel. i travelled by car,Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10

Ilkley is in a beautiful part of the country.
Ilkley is in a beautiful part of the country. There are walks in the countryside around it with beautiful views. A friend and I go to the Literature Festival whenever we can and it is always full of interesting talks by great writers and thinkers. There are a few good Italian restaurants and some good independent cafes which serve good food too.Guest review byKushereUnited Kingdom - 10

Hebden bridge was an attractive town and very easy to walk round. We came by train and used buses to travel as well as walking. We ate at shoulder of mutton twice and found it good value and tasty food. Bus to Haworth another attractive place with lots of history. Walk to heptonstall very steep but another pretty village with great coffee shop. Packed a lot into 2 days but enjoyed every minute.Guest review bySpencerUnited Kingdom - 8.0

A lot of things to do within the village, whether that be going for long walks over the fields, a nice meal, or even having a few drinks through the day. They also have the famous Bronte sisters house which for £13 to tour around the house itself is definatley worth the money. As you'll see if you go to Haworth, there is a lot of friendly folk in the village and it has a lot of history to offer.Guest review byBenUnited Kingdom
