Excellent place, we had Ambassador room for our first honeymoon’s night and it was great. Magnific view of the sea, cozy room and probably the best breakfast I ever had (served in the room). If you want to have a little privacy in the pool you have to choose Ambassador room so you have your private pool separate by a thin wall from next rooms, at least. Other rooms still have private access to the pool from the terrace, but actually it is a unique long pool running all over the terraces, separate by thin transparent glasses, so you see the neighbours when in the pool.

Perfect location for exploring the city with lovely views across the city to the harbour. A modern hotel with aircon, which allowed the windows to be shut at night to keep out the city noise. We had a large terrace and when we returned from exploring the city we enjoyed sitting watching the world go by on the streets below with swifts swooping in the sky above. The hotel served a good breakfast buffet with a wide selection. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Elysia was one of the best ones, I've had; fantastic is very little to describe it! From the front desk ( which was very helpful with all my small questions I've had, always with a smile on and positive energy at all times), to the breakfast staff, our experience was wonderful! All was tentatively placed around us, we felt wholesomely welcomed and right at home- everyones went the extra mile and everything was impeccable! Lovely Spacious room with a cosy vibe. The Bath was a relaxing delight after a day out exploring and the patio with its Sea views was idealic. Being just a 3 min walk from a host of restaurants & shops made everything perfect for our short stay. The Large bed was super comfortable with a great nights sleep Natasa was super helpful and her lovely initial welcome on arrival, made you feel right at home.

    The frontline staff, Maria, Faaia and Nicholas were always available to help with any queries, organising taxis and were kind and helpful. The hotel provided a free shuttle bus to town, which made the location perfect. Views from the hotel looking down on the town and the port were breathtaking. We often took the walk down to the town and the shuttle uphill to the hotel. It was a good mix. We were warmly greeted each day by the cleaning staff, who were efficient and thorough. There is a laundry for washing and drying clothing, and we especially enjoyed the use of the leisure room where we could read and enjoy a game of cards. The offering for breakfast was varied and delicious. The dining room is perfectly situated to take in the incredible views. On our last evening, we booked for dinner in the dining room just before sundown. We had a scrumptious meal, a great bottle of wine and bade farewell to Chania. We highly recommend Royal Sun hotel, we believe it will not disappoint.

    The breakfast and the dinner were the highlight of the stay. A good variety of food were offered. The swimming pool is nice and has a lovely view. The staff were very professional and hospitable. The best location if you wanted to stay near Balos beach and Falassarna beach. It's right in front of the entrance towards the road to Balos beach. Perfect sunrise view.

    Loved roaming around old town with its many laneways, shops and restaurants. Close to the port . Beautiful view. Easy town to get around. We walked from Nea Chora and used local buses to get to many out of town locations. Eg. Stavros Elafanissi Falassarna. Favourite beach is Golden Beach (a short walk from Nea Chora). Water was crystal clear and it almost has golden sand. Sand at Nea Chora is brown. We did not find a bad restaurant in Chania. Food was excellent. Service is not always good and some waiters were very rude. Red Jane bakery and Bougatsa Iordanis must visit - excellent.

    Kissamos offered us a wonderful mix of relaxation and local charm. The nightlife was a pleasant surprise, with cozy bars and lively tavernas where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Evening walks through the town square and the nearby streets filled with local shops and traditional products were some of the highlights of our stay. It's a great place for couples looking for a laid-back yet authentic Cretan experience.

    I love Agia Marina.

    I love Agia Marina. It has the longest beach with sandy shore where one can walk along and/or swim in the beautiful sea. There are ton of restaurants for every palate and B&B or hotels. It is one of my most favorite places to go for vacation.

    All beaches were clean and tidy.

    All beaches were clean and tidy. Enjoyed by the locals, often staying past sundown. Lots of tavernas to enjoy. Short walk to 2 supermarkets if needed, well stocked. Bought cheap loungers from supermarket, which saved a huge amount on sunbeds, as we were there for three weeks!

    We went during school holidays so it was pretty busy but the tourist high street was quiet during the day while everyone was on the beach. The food was excellent. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. The beach bars were also good. The Cretans were very friendly and helpful. Crete has plenty of interesting sites to visit both inland and on the coast. We would happily return.

    The relaxed atmosphere and the lovely apartment at Falassarna beach studio apartments. Excellent breakfast served in the courtyard overlooking the beach. The apartment was spotlessly clean with stunning views from the balcony. Plenty of tavernas nearby serving great food. A lovely beach within walking distance and Big beach a few mins drive away. We recommend having a car. Also walk up to Ancient Falassarna historical site. It is a 20 min walk and well worth it

    It's a small town with some restaurants which are really good. It is more of a tourist village than a local village. However, the food is good, there are supermarkets and souvenir boutique. Additionally, there are some activities to do, and there is a beach. We went there to take our breakfast and sometimes our dinner, but we were more often in other places.

    Massive thing i wish i knew before is the bus system is the cheapest form of travel to and from the Chania airport and is fairly quick and regular, prices starting from 2.50 euros .Stalos was a perfect destination for all age groups , clean , all the bars and restaurants are family/locally owned and all the people are freindly and polite . The beach is clean and easily accessible .

    Not a very busy place which was a plus.

    Not a very busy place which was a plus. Lots of places with good food and small shops. Kalamaki Mare Cafe was a highlight regarding breakfast. Beach was good, even managed to get some free loungers. Couple big supermarkets about 1.5km away. Three bus services to Chania so getting around was never a problem. Right by the motorway entrance too.
