I concur with all the positive reviews that have gone before mine. Those that gave sub-par reviews are likely to be those who would win the lottery and find fault with that. I almost don't want to give a good review because selfishly, I don't want Kantouni Beach to lose its exclusivity. However, to not give it, the management and the staff anything but 10/10 would be an injustice. The hotel's beautiful and is set in a perfect location. It's modern, spacious and spotlessly clean. That it's only 30 rooms is just a perfect size. The staff are amazing. They're totally guest centric. So diligent and conscientious. They work so hard for you and go out of their way to make your stay special. It was my birthday while we was there. Politely, quietly and discreetly I was wished well and was surprised with a cake brought to our table. It's the little touches like that, that I'm trying to convey to you in this review.

I made a reservation for my parents. They visited Kalymnos and returned with wonderful impressions. Even without being there myself, I knew everything, thanks to the team behind the hotel and especially the amazing and helpful Vallia, the unsung hero, who explains exactly what you will encounter and how to find it. You know where you’re going and who you will meet. Vallia ensures the smooth arrival of every guest. Then, you are welcomed by Mr. George, an excellent host who greets you kindly and takes great care of you. We share beautiful stories, and upon leaving, he offers a special gift something truly local. We won’t say what it is. Let it be a surprise. Finally We had a small issue and Valia called us with the solution right away. Impressive immediacy. 10/10

Wow, where to start, we found out about the hotel from our friend Nika who just so happens to be the best chef & is running the hotel kitchen! From the minute we arrived we were blown away by the fabulous location of the hotel, the view of Telendos is beautiful, the pool area has the comfiest sun beds we have ever lay on, the pool bar is convenient & serves fantastic cocktails. The restaurant has a fantastic offering for breakfast & lunch , with nothing too much trouble for Nika and team. The rooms are spacious with wonderful balconies, comfy beds & spotlessly cleaned every day. What makes this hotel special is the wonderful staff, every person we spoke to went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The location is great with a short walk in to Masouri where there are some lovely restaurants, bars & shops. We will definitely be returning and if this review helps others in any way then you will not be disappointed.

    Beautiful resort-style hotel and stunning cliff-side backdrop with panoramic views of Telendos. The hotel staff were so friendly and professional, with a good restaurant on-site. The pool was stand-out; heated to comfort, and single depth all the way through meant it was perfect for adults who are not strong swimmers. Deep enough to paddle and swim comfortably without being unsafe. I will be recommending this place for sure. The room was huge and clean, with an amazing view of Telendos from the balcony. Ask the hotel in advance if you have mobility issues and require lift access for your floor. They can probably accommodate by putting you on an elevator access floor.

    From the moment we eventually arrived, we were so well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for Danielle and Herre, they went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. We had a few little issues on our holiday with them and again they helped us out like staying with family. Artemisia the lovely lady who cleans the rooms was wonderful too and deserves a mention. We can only rate Aphrodite Studios as a 10, it's perfect. Beautiful rooms, great location and a good breakfast. We will be back.

    Kalymos main town is very big busy if you like it busy it’s ideal. There’s lots of burners and bars. It’s easy to catch fairies from the port and I recommend hiring a car to go around the island. We like the north tip of the island best.

    Small, friendly, has everything you need: lovely beach, wonderful views, great shops and restaurants. The people are very friendly and helpful. You can hire a boat, take a ferry to Telendos where you can go for a walk, watch a sunset and go for a great meal.

    The relatively quiet and friendly location with lovely views, very Greek island with narrow roads and very friendly people. The exception being at certain times of the day motor scooters are buzzing through the narrow roads but this was not a problem for us.

    Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos island because of its location (close to the port, Kalymnos capital, museums, sightseeing and to beaches and restaurants on the other hand). The problem with all of the island is that there are nowhere sidewalks and streets are so narrow that if two cars meet one of them should back off , because there is not enough space for both of them (!!!!) and pedestrians are in a real danger .

    Kalymnos is a true authentic Greek Island experience without overcrowding from foreign tourists. We stayed at the Port where there are lots of options for authentic Greek cuisine and rented a car so we could explore the island and beaches. The Port is a true working port. Not just a tourist port. We are tired of overcrowded tourist spots. We felt like we were living as a local and the Yatrissa apartment was very spacious and convenient. Especially compared to all our other accommodations. Our host Anna was excellent and very helpful. She had some treats for us on arrival which was very much appreciated. The apartment had all the amenities we required.

    Great place to rock climb better later in the year to avoid the crowds. I was based in Masouri and teamed up with other Canadian climbers. Restaurants all good and reasonable prices. I prefer a cooked breakfast on climbing days so very good at the Ambience. Some of the newer climbing areas are less polished than the older areas but the rock can be very sharp. As people are concentrated in Masouri the social scene is preferable compared to Leonidio, and the climbing just as good in both locations. A car is needed in Leonidio but not so much in Kalymnos. Telendos has great climbing too as well as some spectacular multi-pitch routes.

    i ll write some comments for the whole island not only myrties. myrties is the main tourist spot on the island. lots of restaurants (we ate twice at la kambusa italian restaurant and the food was really good. try the pasta-excellent). there is a small harbor and within 3 minutes a boat can take you to island telendos (really cheap 3 euros going-2 coming back). we fell in love with emporeios village at the northern part of the island. quite beaches only you and ... goats from local farmers, nice restaurants (ate both at kyma & dreamcatcher). paid no more than 20euros per person. other beaches we enjoyed was platys gyalos semi organised but cheap for beverages-coffee. dont miss the daily trip to pserimos, fantastic beach plus every 3 hours or so tourist ships/pirate ships arrive with loads of tourists. for a while. then again .... peace. visit kalymnos you ll be amazed. explore greece beyond the obvious.

    I was on a climbing holiday and it was much more peaceful than Masouri, if that is what you like. Meeting friends in Masouri in the evening was awkward because of travel and drink driving. However, I did drink less as a result and probably felt better.

    Emporios is great if you like beautiful and quiet places. It is literally at the end of the road in Kalymnos so very little car or scooter traffic. Lots of restaurants to choose from, a mini mart, a small farm for fresh ingredients and a beautiful beach.
