We had an amazing and wonderful stay at Chromata Assos Villas. The village is a delight, it is so quiet and off the main tourist route. The villas are beautiful and superbly set up with just about anything you might possibly need. Panos and Popi were excellent communicators before our arrival and ensured our arrival was seamless and smooth from the airport. We booked very early and were given an upgrade, which was very generous and we appreciated this. Panos provides the best, carefully created (by himself) gourmet breakfasts made from fresh local produce. Each day something different. I have coeliac with dairy intolerance and he catered for my particular dietary requirements so very well and most creatively. He is friendly, helpful, thoughtful and a most excellent host. The villas are just up the hill from the little town square, where the beach, restaurants and minimart are situated. We would go down to swim in the incredibly clear blue green sea twice a day, then make another trip for water (you have to buy drinking water in Assos - the reticulated town water is salty ground water) and any other needs. There are a three or four excellent restaurants where you can eat and an incredible bakery.

The best hotel we’ve stayed at. Absolutely incredible. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Already thinking about our next trip at Canale. The hotel is beautiful and clean but the staff is what truly sets Canale apart from every other luxury 5 star hotel. The staff is absolutely incredible; kind, knowledgeable and always ready to help. We stayed at Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa and absolutely loved it. The hotel was clean, compact, and perfectly located — close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and the airport. The staff were always friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Although the hotel’s proximity to the airport might bother some guests due to occasional noise, for us, each plane landing was like a fun little air show. Plus, there’s no air traffic after a certain hour, so it never disturbed our sleep. We genuinely felt at home during our stay. Thank you for everything!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casaly hotel and spa, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The hotel was *spotlessly clean* throughout, from the rooms to the common areas, which made the stay incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. The housekeeping team clearly takes great pride in maintaining the property. What stood out the most, however, was the *amazing staff*. Every team member was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely went out of their way to ensure that my needs were met. It truly made a difference in my overall experience. And let’s not forget about the *breakfast* – it was absolutely *superb*! There was a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to choose from, catering to all tastes. I looked forward to every morning, knowing I would enjoy a great start to my day. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning in the future. Breathtaking Natural Scenery and Turquoise Waters

The outstanding island of Kefalonia (or Cephalonia) is the largest of the Ionian Sea and has gorgeous turquoise waters, picturesque villages, breathtaking mountains and green forests.

Suggested as the Ithaca island of Homeric legend - the home of Odysseus - Kefalonia is considered one of the most beautiful Greek islands. The film location of Captain Corelli's Mandolin in 2001, this magical place became famous all over the world.

    Aww, the couple responsible for this accommodation are absolute gems. They were so sweet and helpful, even bringing us homemade cake for breakfast as a gift! They made a point of showing us the best spots on the island and always took a moment to check in with us whenever they saw us. We loved everything, especially the people. The accommodation is very private, comfortable, and has a wonderful balcony to start or end your day. It also has private parking. It’s extremely close to the airport and several car rental places. We absolutely loved it and hope to return one day.

    We loved pretty much everything, location was perfect in terms of being close to the airport and close to the beaches and towns if we wanted to go out. Be stayed in the recently renovated Bungalows which were beautiful, overlooking the sea and had all the facilities you could wish for. The staff were also incredibly polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them if you needed or wanted anything. We can’t thank them enough for making our stay so great and we will definitely be going back in the future.

    Setting was lovely. Tranquil and spacious house and gardens. Wonderful views. Well equipped and clean villa. The hosts were excellent and kept in touch to check all was well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and would definitely stay there again, if visiting Kefalonia. Location was close to Sami, the next village ten minutes away, for the ferry to Ithaca.

    What a beautiful place. What makes it even better is the welcoming locals from wait staff to barristers, shop assistants, taxi drivers and everyone else. They truly are beautiful people. I enjoyed many outings in different parts of the island and on the water, it was just a pleasure to be there. I’m really glad I had this experienced. I hope to be back soon.

    Not posh or pretentious.

    Not posh or pretentious. Good for a relaxing holiday rather than a one with wild nightlife or prestigious restaurants or exclusive beach clubs. Seemed safe. Most people would go into Argostoli during there trip rather than just stay in Lassi all the time, as it is larger and has many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. Taxis between Lassi and Argostoli are not very expensive.

    Sami was a great place to stay!

    Sami was a great place to stay! We had 4 nights and wanted to stay longer. Very nice little town, we stayed in a great hotel, near a lovely little beach, great promenade and just enough restaurants and shops. You could go for day trips to other beaches, caves and to Ithaka, hire a boat or just stay and relax!

    Lovely village.

    Lovely village. It's a popular yachting harbour and I think this makes it a bit more expensive than the rest of the island. We swam at Fiko bay which is about a kilometre from where we were staying. Nice and reasonably priced taverna here, though you need to book for the evening.

    Lots of choice of bars and restaurants all manned by super friendly staff and food was excellent. Everything was close together along with some restaurants overlooking the lovely Sandy beach which stretched for miles. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and had several day trips out exploring everything this beautiful island had to offer. Would definitely recommend a visit.

    It is so pretty, still has it's traditional Greek charm. Great restaurants and lovely beach for snorkelling on the way to Paradise Restaurant. Sea crystal clear and warm. We visited here 34 years ago and yes it has changed but not too much and did not disappoint. Could have stayed for months! The locals were very welcoming. Can't wait to return.

    Loved Lixouri - lovely people, very pretty in the town by...

    Loved Lixouri - lovely people, very pretty in the town by the water, in the square and food delicious and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed ourselves - myself, my husband, daughter and her husband. Only point to note-not far to walk in but uphill walk back.

    Asos is a lovely little village with a much more relaxed feel to nearby Fiscardo. There are a couple of nice bars and restaurants in the harbour area. In the evening we ate at Three Wise Monkeys, which was excellent.

    Lourdhata is a quiet resort and that’s why we like it and keep coming back. There are many restaurants and facilities but it’s not a party place. Suitable for all ages and abilities, it never fails to delight.

    The beach nearby was quite small and did get busy with holiday makers who were staying in the local area. The location and facilities nearby made it a very popular choice for holiday makers, especially from the UK and it also being quite close to the airport. It is an excellent location to base yourself, especially if like us, you are first time travellers to the Island.
