Gorgeous hotel, beautiful from inside and outside. Amazing pool, awesome breakfast, and the best location in Skopellos, close to the old town, and the beach is in front of the hotel. This is located right next to the port, which was very good as we needed to catch a ferry the next morning. The man who checked us in was extremely attentive to our needs and very friendly. We really appreciated his help. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. There were a couple of restaurants on the street next door, and one little supermarket. One interesting challenge is that an Orthodox Church is right next door and the bells started going off from 7:00 to 9:30 as they did a liturgy. It was a bit challenging to sleep in during that.

FAQs about hotels in Skopelos

The Green and Blue Island

Covered by natural pine forests, Skopelos is one of the greenest islands in the Aegean Sea and the largest island in the Sporades group. This colorful paradise features crystal clear waters, pebble beaches, blue caves, charming villages and imposing churches.

Skopelos Town is a maze of picturesque cobbled streets, traditional whitewashed houses, red-tiled roofs and small taverns. Nestled on the top of the hill, the old Venetian castle is visible from every part of the town. Loutraki is the 2nd port on the island, featuring nice fish restaurants and bars.

The church of Agios Ioannis Kastri is that lovely place where the famous Hollywood movie Mamma Mia was filmed. Standing proud on the top of a rock and linked to the island with a narrow path, this stunning church offers an amazing sea view.

Located about 5 km from Skopelos Town, the beautiful sandy beach of Stafilos lies in a small bay and is ideal for families with small children. The pebble beach of Panormos is a lovely beach with turquoise waters, sun beds and umbrellas, perfect for water sports lovers.

Offering a large selection of hotels, apartments, guest houses and aparthotels, Booking.com will help you book the right accommodation.

Skopelos island is absolutely amassing, the beaches the views are breathtaking. Skopelos town is very pretty. We had dinner in family run taverna on the end of Skiatos port. It was best food that we had in Skiathos and Skopelos. On the top of it there was live music. Fantastic experience .

Getting to the island was a little bit of a challenge but very much worth it. The beaches around the island are absolutely beautiful with crystal clear waters, and they are a short drive away from Stafylos which makes it an ideal base location. Moped and car rental is very cheap, we rented a moped for 12 days which cost around £140. The island was of course one of the filming locations for Mamma Mia! so if you are interested in visiting them there are tours available, but I would personally recommend doing some research before you visit and explore yourself. The Chapel of St. John is one location that is in particularly beautiful, and I would recommend visiting around dusk as the sky is like a painting. The town offers amazing places to eat and drink, depending where you go the prices vary but there is lots to choose from, I would recommend Kochylis bakery and patisserie for breakfast and lunch, and there is a food van near in the evenings that offer a traditional gyros that are cheap for the portion size. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, truly beautiful place that I would happily visit again/

Exploring Glossa is an absolute joy if you enjoy taking photos, it's very beautiful. Unfortunately, despite visiting mid-May, many of the tavernas had yet to open for the season. One fabulous find was Rouga, warm welcome and lovely food.

Panormos is maybe the best spot on Skopelos island, great natural beauty and facing south-you can swim with all weathers, meltemi included! Many nice restaurants, friendly people, quiet and cool spot is you are not located on the main road. Try the Kraken, certainly, for food and drinks! Try the Espresso for all-day delights, try Linarakia, Nikos, Yiannis and Vasiliki restaurants for quality greek food. Frequent connection with the port by decent, airconditioned busses, too. The only disadvantage is maybe the very road that brings you to Panormos, as it runs across it and one has to be very careful, either when driving through or when crossing on foot to the sea. If you have a choice, avoid the month of August, at least the first 3 weeks of it ...

Neo Klima is a small pretty little town about halfway...

Neo Klima is a small pretty little town about halfway between Glossa and Skopelos Town. It's sunset central in our opinion! It's very much a locals town with small supermarkets and a superb bakery with cakes and pastries to bust your waistline, and a great selection of bread. It's small enough to stroll around with lots of narrow passages and alleys. The restaurants are traditional and authentic taverna style, we highly recommend Manolis in particular. There's also a great bar at the seafront close to Hovolo beach called Madalaki for coffee and snacks, and they do a great Mojito! It's much busier during July and August with some great watersports available along the seafront, and parking is really easy and free. It's almost deserted during the low seasons. The area close to the harbour arm where the yachts moor has a real village ambience where locals hold events for the community. The piece-de-resistance has to be the backdrop to Neo Klima - it is bright green pine and cypress forest that tumbles down to the sea on all sides, and the fresh pine fragrance is intoxicating.

If you want a stay to relax in a gorgeous village high in the mountains with amazing views easy access to the magnificent beaches of Skopelo this is the place to stay. The apartment is like a little cottage clean and has all amenities even an external laundry. You will not want to leave and the host is very accommodating not that you will need her my experience with the host was the introduction to the place she was very thorough showed us every nook and cranny. The village has two mini supermarkets and a few restaurants/tavern, and a gorgeous bakery.Everything is walking distance. This village is super stunning the locals very friendly. Total quiet during the night, waking up to the noise of roosters, church bells and the smell coming from the bakery.

Agnontas is a beautiful, clean small village set among pine trees and mountains. A small bay with a lovely beach and crystal clear waters, sailing boats and fishing boats. The village only boasts a general store and three Taverna, local homes and some with accommodation for guests, Close enough to Skopelos Town by bus or taxi, within walking distance of Limnonari beach and natural beauty hiking paths. This village is quiet and peace-filled. The three Taverna offer both authentic Greek food, Seafood and one offers a fusion-variety of Greek food.

The town is really interesting, from the bustling front full of bars, shops and cafes, to the car-free old town up flights of stone steps. Lovely old archictecture in the old town, some very good restaurants lower down. The walk up from the far side of the harbour gives beautiful sea views and. a glimpse of old Skopelos. There are lots of buses to nearby beaches and large villages - also very beautiful. Lots of cat feeding stations provided by volunteers see pics.

Very scenic location with one of the most beautiful and accesible beaches on the island and a very good and affordable restaurant with incredible view. On the downside is that the beach is quite narrow and every day or so the passing sea jet will cause huge waves which sweep away everything that sits on the beach. Also, beach bar is very expensive with a very basic selection of foods and drinks.

If you are young, Glossa could be too quiet for you, but for us it was perfect. It is a small, friendly town with everything you need available, whether you want to self-cater or eat out. You need to have a car if you really want to go around, or be willing to do a lot of walking down or uphill. We will surely visit again when we are on Skopelos island.
