Lovely property, close to the beach, tavernas and supermarkets. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning good, nice, quiet environment, lots of bottles of water in the fridge, and a few other things for breakfast. Good wifi.

The room was very clean and quiet. There is a small kitchenette to prepare simple meals or make drinks etc. there was a sandwich maker and a hot chocolate maker. I stayed somewhere else on the same strip of beach a couple of years ago, which cost far more and it was not as good. This is exceptional value and well placed for the beach and town.

Kosta, our host, was simply fantastic. He welcomed us with the warmth and genuine smile I’ve come to associate with the Greek people—a kindness that, sadly, we Italians seem to have lost a little over time. The apartment was stocked with fresh fruit, tea, coffee, butter, jams, honey, and all sorts of sweet and savory treats—perfect for breakfast or a relaxed aperitivo. Kosta even recommended a restaurant for dinner and kindly made the reservation for us. The apartment itself had everything one could need for a stay in Skyros. It’s just a short walk from the Chora, with panoramic views and a breathtaking veranda. I was truly sorry we only had one night there, and I hope to return someday. Thank you, Kosta—all the best to you!

I cannot fault peaceful, quiet and central location; my wonderful landlady's mother; both women's generosity of spirit and what the Greeks call 'philoxenia' and 'philotimo.' There was all of that and more, in spades. Not only was I made to feel completely at home, I felt welcomed, safe and nothing was too much trouble, including the help that I received from my landlady's mother in carrying my luggage down to the premises. Next time I come to the island, I'll bring a much smaller bag! She even came to check that I was ok on one occasion when I had been so tired that I slept for the whole day, for which I am extremely grateful. What a star! The location has a view from the roof terrace, that must be the envy of many and the premises were fully equipped to make my stay easy, comfortable and homely. There is no question that when I return to the island, which no doubt I will do, all being well, then this where I will choose to stay. Some of my friends were envious that I found my 'home from home' before they did!
