Splendid location, overlooking the plateia of a beautiful village. Getting there was half the fun - a longish drive on winding roads in one of the most spectacular areas of Europe. The village of Syrrako has preserved its authenticity and is much less touristy than the villages of the nearby more popular Zagoria area. The property is located in an atmospheric old house. Our charming room was furnished with a lot of style, yet including full modern comforts. Very friendly hosts, English spoken. As an added bonus, they also operate a restaurant serving delicious local food for very reasonable prices. Syrrako is located at an altitude of ca. 1150 meters, so nights and mornings are cool even in summer. Anyway, as we visited during a heat wave of historic proportions our room still got quite warm, so adding a small fan to the room would be a good idea for such periods which are sadly quite likely in the future. Free parking on the outskirts of the village, some 10 minutes walk from the hotel (the village itself is car-free which adds to its charm).Guest review byMarekPoland

I would recommend everyone to see and feel the beauty of the place. The hotel is located in the mountains, and access is via an asphalt road. After the deviation from the highway, a new road is built, wider than the existing one. The last few kilometers are still widening, but not a problem to pass. The road itself has bends, but they allow you to enjoy the view. The hotel is located between the mountain peaks and offers an incredible view. Extremely peaceful place. The owners were nice and kind. The food was superb. The hotel itself consists of several buildings, and we were accommodated in the additional buildings. The rooms were modernly decorated. With comfortable beds and everything you need. A path to the famous Plaka Bridge starts from the hotel. I recommend everyone to visit it. Dinner and breakfast were rich. Shelter was alternative, pleasant in strategical spot with amazing host experience from the very friendly guys up there. Special night events, mountain guidelines lovely food (vegan included), and one of the most great mountain atmosphere in Tzoumerka. Melissourgoi village was so quiet with also lovely and positive energy. Koferita bridge down the river was nice with a lot of spots to swim. This is a very authentic greek mountain-village. The location is breathtaking and has a very natural and rough beauty. You will find a great and unspoiled mountain-sceenery and you can do a lot of outdoor-activities.
