- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 3,233 reviewsCheck in was very fast... receptionist allowed us to go directly to our room and finish all other necessary things at the reception a bit after we settled in. The lady at the reception was very nice and welcoming, she was so accomodating and helpful the whole time we were there. I forgot her name :( She has curly nice hair 😍 Thank you! Staff was great! The restaurant staff were all friendly and kind... house keeping ladies were also always with warm smile on their faces. Food was abundant and the evening buffet varied the 4 nights we were there. Breakfast does not change much but has plenty of choices. Wednesday is what they call "Gala Dinner"... more food served and everything was delicious! Few minute walk to the beach. Near a grocery store and many other stores. Restaurants and bars are also in the area. Great evening shows ( concerts, movie, games etc.)at Plava Laguna. Thursday was our last night and there was a fireworks show...it was lovely! Pool was not that big but it is usually not crowded so we always had space everytime we want to use it. The hotel is a bit old but well kept... And the Hotel Staff were all great 👏Guest review byFeldaAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 604 reviewsEverything was great, just a dream vacation, service is top, food is super delicious and you can see how the food is being cooked. Although there are many people, they renew the food every time, sometimes you have to wait a little but this didn’t bother me. Location is near the beach, water is transparent and warm (second week of September). Service is super friendly and there are atmosphere of respect everywhere. We will definitely come back next year with the whole of our family. PS, live music in the evening is great, especially Trio Shakers. Hvala i doviđenja, vidimo se sljedeće godine.Guest review byDianaUkraine
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 217 reviewsA large family camping resort with campground, mobile homes and glamping tents. A nice water park at the premises for the little ones (not all pools were available due to end of season and poor weather during our stay). A very long shoreline (mostly concrete/pebble) to walk and swim (3km or so), sandy beach in the middle. Good facilities, with multiple restaurants, shops and grocery stores available. Everything is super clean. Decent entertainment program for the kids. Sports facilities. Pine forest. Nearby Porec and multiple adventure/water sports sites.Guest review byZmicierNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,848 reviewsEverything was great. The rooms clean, comfi beds, good wifi. Restaurant with delicious food, big variety of different hot and cold food, everyone could find what they want to eat. The staff was constantly going around the tables and took away the used plates, and clean the tables. It felt better then in many 4star hotels. The beach was great, enough sunbeds for everyone, and we really liked that we could use the sport gears for free. We played minigolf, tenis, get SUPs and waterbikes. Everything was about the guests, so we had a very relaxing holiday.Guest review byJuditHungary
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 6,667 reviewsChildren loved the pool area and the accessibility to the beach, the room was spacious and clean, the staff was extremely polite, the room and the terrace had a great sea view without any additional charges, the hotel is right on the beach. The food was delicious and the offer for different types of food was great, the hotel has own parking. It does not have airconditioning in the room but this did not bother a bit! We will come back next year! Every recommendation!Guest review byMiricAustria

I have been visiting Poreč for more than 10 years, and it is always a wonderful experience. It’s a very beautiful town with a charming atmosphere, lovely beaches, and plenty to see and do. Every visit feels special, and I will definitely keep coming back.Guest review byAtenaSlovenia - 10.0
Atmospheric small town with harbour.
Atmospheric small town with harbour. Lots of super eating places. Old town on the hill full of cafes and easily accessed by charming road train. Miles of traffic free cycle and walking paths adjoining the sea to nearby resorts including FKK in Koversada. Excellent facilities for all family ages.Guest review byDenis no menaceUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Funtana itself is a small place.
Funtana itself is a small place. A few (very good) restaurants, a big supermarket, a marina. And a few very big camping sites. So it's not a place where you have a boulevard to walk in the evening with shops and a lot of people. These are in cities like Porec, 10 kilometers away. For us it was perfect, we took the car and came back in a calm and peaceful place. Without a car you might get bored.Guest review byRolandPoland - 8.0

Vabriga is a small village but located in a short drive distance from all near by beaches abs towns. Great to retreat to after a busy day out. There is no beach that is good walking distance but all nearby beaches are around 10-15 min car drive away.Guest review by2GtravellersCzech Republic - 10.0
Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches.
Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches. The restaurants are good as well, and anybody can find something to pass the time. The nightlife is very active, there are many oppurtinites to have a party. Who is looking for a more quiet holiday, they should consider book their aparment away from the city center. The beaches are good but sometimes overcrowded. If you plan to visit other places in Istria, Porec is a good "home base". Everything is 50-70km away.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 10.0

Funtana is a typical Croatian holiday village with huge campings and amusement park. Everything you need is in a close distance. Very nice fish food restaurant MORE, Spacious city beach with free parking and facilities (beach club). Very close to Vrsar or Porec bigger cities and the Lim fjord. The area has plenty of small islands accessible by SUP.Guest review byAndrásHungary - 10.0
Poreč is truly worth visiting.
Poreč is truly worth visiting. It is a charming coastal town where you can feel the beauty of the Adriatic and see traces of 2000 years of history. It is a place where every corner tells a story and where the past meets the present in the most beautiful way.Guest review byNataliaPoland - 10.0
Vrsar is atmospheric and unspoiled.
Vrsar is atmospheric and unspoiled. It is off the main road and the coastal walking and cycle path joins effortlessly to other camping areas, family resorts and huge FKK. Harbourside restaurants are recently augmented by hilltop cafe bars, with live music, accessed most easily by the cute road train. A total delight.Guest review byDenis no menaceUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Too,Too, Crowded.
Too,Too, Crowded. People on top of people. parking was an issue, along with the amount of children in our area. It was literally a playground. The trailer we rented had sliding door issues. The door fell off of it's track every single time we tried to close the sliding door. The toilets took and extremely long time to fill, and the soap dispensers in the bathrooms were empty. All in all, I do not think I would stay here again. Valkanela "Packs Too Many People" into it's campground, making it hard just to move around. Every little space has someone pitching a tent, or trying to shoehorn a caravan into a small spot. I watched as families struggled to navigate the campground trying to park their vehicles, and had no assistance from the staff. As for your stay you are exhausted by the end of the day navigating cars, bikes, scooters, motorcycles, delivery vans, and people to say it was a relaxing vacation. Then there are the roads in the camp ground, far too narrow for cars, bikes, scooters, and children running in the street. Once again all said, this campsite will never see me again, and what makes it more of a shame is that I have family that owns a trailer on this property, so you would think that it makes it convenient for me to stay at this campsite, but it simply was not as advertised. Lastly, Valkanela really needs to open more counters in the Arrival/Departure area of the admin building. Two lines do not cut it. There are 25-30 people standing on line trying to check in and out, It takes an hour easy. Ridiculous. For the expensive stay that it was, Never again for me!Guest review byKarlUnited States
