If you are new to Dublin, take one of the tours which mainly start from O'Connell Street (there is a choice of operators). This will give you a good grounding. In addition get a Visitor Leap Card - one, three and seven days validity available (can be bought at Dublin Airport).Guest review byPW47158United Kingdom - 10

It has a fantastic shopping centre with various food venues but are only a very small number of it closes at 9pm. In the area but here are only a very small number of eating places open in the evening. We were there for a business matter, I don't think it's particularly good for leisure in the evenings,Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10

Dun Laoghaire is a hip spot away from the huddle of the city Center. Great walking on the pier, waterfront and through the village. Some lovely restaurants and coffee shops . Breakfast at the Vanilla bean was lovely. The famous Forty Ft swimming spot is a short walk. Lots of quaint shops and vintage secondhand stores scattered along the Main Street . Good public transport on busses , trains and taxis . Aircoach to Dublin Airport from Marine rd opp City Hall. Market in the Peoples park is well worth a visit if you’re there over the weekend. Childrens fun fair on the waterfront runs daily from 12 noon till 7 pm . €3/ ride.Guest review byJenniferCanada - 6.0
Well, it's an airport hangout.
Well, it's an airport hangout. Room small but okay, Reception staff great. Restaurant staff needs serious training - 6 people (including 2 managerial types!) and tackling for service. Big problem. Not up to Crowne standards.Guest review byWandaCanada - 10

A well appointed hotel, with good-sized bedrooms in a good location to the south of the city centre. Has the benefit of a large 'free' carpark, which is good if touring. Access to the city centre can be taken via the DART rail which is a short drive away.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10
Great facilities locally.
Great facilities locally. Major shopping but hotel is off the beaten track and quiet. Great ambience and facilities without leaving. Traffic congestion for going into the city at rush hours exceptionally bad. Cinemas, Olympic size pool etc all nearby.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 10

Excellent day. €35 for entrance became €20 with my Seniors card. Thanks to the racecourse for this. Drink & food not exorbitant which I was half expecting so I was pleasantly surprised. We loved the seating to watch the racing where we did not have to pay any extra. A great day overall. I wish I could say the same for the nearby Clayton hotel where we were fleeced & got very poor quality. This will be an important factor if I decide to go again ( This was my first trip to Leopardstown races in over 40 years ). I generally go racing in the south of the country. Will see.Guest review byKelleherIreland
