Killarney is a nice place to visit, primarily because of Killarney National Park, and its proximity to the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry. We chose to avail ourselves of the Hop On Hop Off bus because it drops you off at the sights one most wishes to see, e,g, Ross Castle, Muckross House and Farm, etc. The train station is only a ten Euro ride away from the hotel.

    Lots to do and see!

Lots to do and see! If thing I would suggest if it's raining or cloudy at all don't go to sea!! We went to the Skelligs. €295 for 5 of us, couldn't see much! Disappointing to say the least! The Skellig Museum on Valentia island across the bridge was surprisingly very good. It looks funny outside & we didn't rate it much! The back of it is what you see first! The take away on the pier was disappointing. Fish & chips wasn't what you'd think it would be beside the sea. The food in both local pubs fabulous. Best to book the Moorings for evening meals. It's very busy. Kerry cliffs well worth seeing also.

A lovely town in a great location for visiting the Ring of Kerry. Plenty of nice walks, climbs, beaches and fantastic scenery. Kells beach and Kells Bay and Gardens are close by as is the lovely pilgrim walk up Cnoc na dTobar. A good base to visit Valentia Island. Plenty of historical interest including the old Workhouse and Daniel O Connell's birthplace. Some nice restaurants, including the lovely Oratory Pizza restaurant and QCs.

Being right on the ocean is nice. Town itself is small and was pretty busy and touristy. But it was cute. Just driving through we could see a quite a few different food options. Love the beach area. Cliffs are awesome, ocean views great. Nice little town.
