We stayed at this hotel because we were looking for a 4 starts hotel near the cliffs, it wasn't easy because most places are 3 stars and less. The hotel is charming, run by a family who really cares about details and guests. Everything was comfortable, the stay was extremely nice, and since the coast of the Ocean is definitely worth visiting, we hit the tide and huge waves of the Atlantic, it was an almost epic experience! A place extremely worth visiting. Very nice stay.

An amazing hotel in the Ballyvaughan. Even though Ballyvaughan is small place, we were mesmerized by the landscape, environment and people, their kindness and hospitality. This is pretty much same in the whole Ireland. Very kind people, open and cheerful. Staff at the Hylands Burren was excellent, breakfast was very good. Location is very close to Cliffs of Moher (by car), which was one of the reason we came to this area.

Walk to the Cliffs of Moher from Doolin, preferably in a tour led by Pat Sweeney, instead of accessing the view from the Visitor Center parking lot that sort of feels like a bus terminal. You only have nature to look at by doing the walk instead of driving to the site.

It has great potential but over the last few years it has disimproved. It used to be much more buzzy, with many more shops and venues open. Still, it is close to so many lovely places to swim and walk. Monks was ok, we got shunted out of table as bigger group was coming in, and the food was just ok. Went to brillant old bar, O Laughlinns I think. Great, packed, lovely atmosphere, atmospheric, but nearly had a heart attach at the price of two very good whiskeys. Couldnt do this too often. Far less tourists around, I wonder why?

What a lovely town. Went into Eugens for a whiskey tasting would highly recommend it. Eugene is a great guy thought me how to drink Irish Mist correctly, it was delicious. Paid a visit to the Falls hotel had a lovely irish coffee. The view of the cascades from the hotel are stunning. Attended an after wedding event at Pot Duggans what a great place.
