Stay here... nevermind how close it was to the cliffs of Moher (10 min). This hotel is amazing. It was like staying in a museum with every book on Ireland and county Clare displayed and available to read next to a nice fire on the most comfortable chairs i have ever sat in. The staff was great. Very attentive. You can't beat the location. I will be back.

I stayed here on a trip with family to Lahinch for Willie Clancy week in Miltown. After visiting a few pubs Declan kindly organised a mini bus for our group & made sure we arrived safely. On the way home much later I was very surprised to see Declan standing outside the door waiting for us, what a host. He went well & truly beyond to help us. As for the hotel itself, excellent location on the main street. The rooms were modern, in excellent condition & spacious. We look forward to coming back & I highly recommend to anyone thinking of a vist to Lahinch 10/10

The views were so beautiful. You really need a few days here to take it in and really appreciate overlooking all the farms. The Hot tub was so cute (for 2), the bathtub incredible, The bed was so comfortable and had the same views in giant windows. The host provided goodies and shampoo/soap and delicious nespresso and tea! Home as washer no dryer. The rustic decor was charming: real wood furnishings, slate floor, etc. We drove to an easy few min to Doolin to enjoy dinner and pubs. We used it as a base for cliffs, doolin and galway.

LOVED the glamping experience in Doolin. I was a solo female traveler who found this to be a fun way to see the area. My only regret was that I only stayed one night. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. I felt completely safe in the tent and all comforts had been considered. I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to try glamping. You can walk to pubs and they make your stay quite memorable.

Gus O'Connor's in Doolin is a top notch restaurant.

Gus O'Connor's in Doolin is a top notch restaurant. The Aran Islands are a hop, skip and a jump via the Doolin Ferry and e-bike and standard bike rentals are fast and easy once you land on the islands. There are grocery stores in nearby Ennistymon 15-20 minutes by car. Fanore---20 minutes to the north---is home of the Caher Valley Loop Walking Trail. One loop is about 9 miles...the other about 10-11 miles. Spectacular views...worth the steep climb! Kilkee---about an hour to the south---has a wonderful Cliff Walk that offers views as good as the Cliffs of Moher.

Ennis is a really nice town to visit. There's a nice atmosphere to the place. Even though the whole of the centre was being dug up for improvements it was still really interesting to walk around. The bars were great. Good music and never closed if you were still drinking, it seemed.

Liscannor is a beautiful city with many great views. The coast is incredible and the people are so friendly. The Cliffs of Moher are another amazing plus. Saint Brigids’s well os nearby and was an interesting stop as well. We ate lunch at the Frantic Chef and dinner in Doolin nearby at Gus O’Conners- both of which we’re delicious!

It has great potential but over the last few years it has disimproved. It used to be much more buzzy, with many more shops and venues open. Still, it is close to so many lovely places to swim and walk. Monks was ok, we got shunted out of table as bigger group was coming in, and the food was just ok. Went to brillant old bar, O Laughlinns I think. Great, packed, lovely atmosphere, atmospheric, but nearly had a heart attach at the price of two very good whiskeys. Couldnt do this too often. Far less tourists around, I wonder why?

The overall village look was lovely....but some of the pub standards were very poor and run down....I know this can add to a traditional feel but the Guinness in the pub was poor, as this is a tourist area, this needs to be much improved and the pub we ate in the service was good but overpriced completely....I thought Kinvara would have been better and I would certainly visit but would not need to stay for very long....I was expecting better but I appreciate everyone is trying to make a living and the season is almost over....

What a lovely town.

What a lovely town. Went into Eugens for a whiskey tasting would highly recommend it. Eugene is a great guy thought me how to drink Irish Mist correctly, it was delicious. Paid a visit to the Falls hotel had a lovely irish coffee. The view of the cascades from the hotel are stunning. Attended an after wedding event at Pot Duggans what a great place. I would go back for their pizza any day it was fantastic.

I came for the Match making festival so that is what I am...

I came for the Match making festival so that is what I am going to focus on. First of all, plan way ahead, I started in early August, which was way to late. Go for the Friday and weekends! Most of the local singles don't go during the work days, it is not like a music festival that blast on for the entire work week. On the contrary it dies down during the work days. If you are there on a regular work day it will mostly be a senior event. Do find Willie Dailys phone number in advance and call him once you are in Lisdoonvarna. Then go to his donkey farm or the match making bar depending on how he instructs you over the phone and get matched. Also plan this part of the journey as something you do first as you will need time to go out and meet the singles. I made a mistake and put it last in my journey across Ireland, limiting the window of time I could spend with the singles. Apart from the locals there are many Americans! If you are from the United States or want an American I think Willie got a few singles for you. Alas it is more lacking when it comes to people from the rest of Europe. Where to get food in Lisdoonvarna? I ate at the Ritz, I really liked the food there especially their chowder.

It is quaint without being twee - the coloured houses are iconic. We enjoyed seeing them in the real and they are so well kept. The shops sell local produce - Aran sweaters, wooden goods, art, honey etc which are well worth buying. We were there to do parkrun on Inis Meain so we spent a day there. Anyone who likes being in the wild would be in heaven. The views are amazing and the peacefulness is palpable. The pub serves hearty fare and well priced. The ferry trip was great fun but we were lucky with the weather. Eating in Doolin at night is a lively affair with trad music on in most pubs. I would love to have stayed longer.
