As the name suggests, it's a resort, nestled among flora and fauna. It's surrounded by hills on all side almost, which beem with forest life i.e. trees of different species laden with several different types of flowers , shrubs, birds of different species chirping all along the day, squirrels hoping around and potentially some more small animals if you go further towards hills. Once we arrived here, we instantly felt connected to the mother nature. It's so calm and serene, you let go all your worries and free your mind from otherwise many mundane thoughts. Once you attain decluttered, you start appreciating the place. You want to go to hills, pluck wild flowers and run around like a kid. I was arranged with a guide to take me to top of hills. I was able to trek upwards in 30 minutes, where you get to see some breathtaking views of hills, fields, flowers valley on other side. The trekking was complimentary, to my surprise. About facilities : the best thing that stands out is "food", they offered a good amount of options for both veg and non-veg, and one can be assured of quality and taste. My wife is bit hard to be pleased for being picky about food, but she was wowed with delicious food, what we had in breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was our wedding anniversary and they made it special by decorating room to our heart's content, which was a surprise to my wife from me. Furthermore, to make our evening special, they arranged outdoor dinner by pool with bonfire, to keep us warm during low temperatures of January. One notable mention - i am bewildered that they let us check in as early as 7 am in morning. They upgraded our room with a nominal charge and helped us with swift check in. The room was very big and so was the bathroom. The staff is very kind and helpful. They have a travel desk available which helped us plan our entire trip at a super fair price. It also arranged airport drop off 👌. I can recommend their travel desk more than any online tourism portal. The restaurant has a very nice variety and is delicious, we did not ate anywhere else because nothing can beat the view and taste of the food. Many heritage sites to visit and pleasant to be surrounded by history. Glad that many monuments are well maintained. Rich in culture. Delight to shoppers, bargaining necessary. I checked online for sightseeing spots and visited at my own pace. Hired Cab, Autorickshaws, e-Autos, Share Autos. I felt it useful to hire Guides for the monuments since we'll get information and finish our visit in time. Entrance Tickets Rates and Guide Rates displayed in every spot. Some places in City Centre have Composite Tickets, which could be used in more than one spot. Photos taken with the hired traditional costume near Jal Mahal was good. Prints given immediately along with soft copy if required. The timings mentioned in the websites vary for sightseeing spots. Even some locals or Drivers are not aware of the correct timings. Plan as per direction, distance and time of the day. Uber and Ola services available. Many old temples with unique history are there. Photography of deities was allowed. Jodhpur is an interesting historic city with a magnificent fort towering over the old blue city. The area around the clocktower has numerous bazaars and places to stay and eat, great for shopping and exploring. Jodhpur offers wonderful local handcrafts and is worth visiting for this alone. If you are religious and want to go here for this very reason, then you should go ahead with it. There are around 500 temples in Pushkar with the Brahma temple being the oldest one. Ajmer is an old city and the area near the railway station/hotel is poor and dilapidated. This will challenge some tourists. Not all local people are friendly but many are very friendly, helpful and curious about where you come from. I am female and was travelling on my own and found Ajmer to be a safe city. Alwar has extraordinary architectural treasures and is beautifully situated. However like a lot India it does require patience. The main palace which is now government offices is very badly maintained with litter marring much of the cityscape. The place needs a lot of work..the NE 4 highway has opened hence a lot of crowd is pouring in at sawai madhopar however the hotels are in between villages and from the road to the resort nothing is done up well. Fateh's cafe and area around are just a few places one can hang out in.
