- From $206.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,174 reviewsWe had a lovely tiny cottage that was so cool. Although tiny, it had everything, a full kitchen, bathroom, etc. The morning breakfast is amazing, with a variety of options, and the restaurant overall just exceeded or expectations by a mile. The food was sooooooooo good, it is worth to stop by only to get a bite or two ;-) Btw, there are also two hot tubs with clean water - that was an amazing experience as well.Guest review byJozefSlovakia
- From $105.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,492 reviewsThe restaurant served up some delicious duck confit & chicken leg. It was one of my favourite meals. It was also located right on a pretty private beach that was an excellent spot to view auroras. I appreciated that the room had a good selection of teas & coffee. The owners are not very particular where you're parked so parking spaces were ample.Guest review byMin MinSingapore

The staff went out of their way to serve you. I left my notebook computer charger in the hotel. I had to leave on cruise the next day. They found it and sent it to Fosshotel Reykajvik so that I can pick it up after my cruise and on my way to London.Guest review by楊Hong Kong

The parking by the fall is expensive at no reason.
The parking by the fall is expensive at no reason. It offers no services, like toilets. If the weather is ok and you like walking, there is a free spot closer to the city, 1mile or 1500m, with a trail to the fall. The fall and the mountain together in a pic are the postcard you imagined.Guest review byPietroItaly - 10.0

We only spent 1 night and 1 lunchtime in Borgarnes, so my experience was limited. We would have loved to stay longer and explore more! The walk along the seaside is beautiful and a great way to get around. The pool with its hot tubs is excellent - just go here and skip the pricey spas! The town feels so safe and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. The Settlement Museum is well worth a visit!Guest review byAlexisUnited States - 10.0

a beautiful coastal town and a great jumping off place for visiting the Snaefellness peninsula and park. Great fish and chips in a food truck parked by the harbor. A great view from the Helgafell hike near town.Guest review byMarkUnited States - 10.0

Gorgeous mountain views, restaurant with delicious and fresh food overlooking the river, clean and cute camping pods with GREAT insulation, three hot tubs, dark enough at night to see the Northern Lights (even when it's cloudy!), friendly staff (family business), cozy lounge area with vinyl records and couches, troll garden, clean and easily accessible bathrooms, showers, and kitchen!Guest review byLexi NimmoUnited States - 10.0

I would like to address several reviewers comments in general about the size of the bathrooms and showers. The bathrooms have been updated. the bathrooms are on the smaller side but so are most of the bathrooms in all the hotels I have stayed at in Iceland. We travel extensively and notice differences in all of the countries we have been to that are different from our own places and each place that you go. I think it is ok to mention this so other people are aware but to complain so much about it is not necessary. I would also like to mention how wonderful their water is! It can go from freezing cold to sauna hot in a matter of seconds and it is the only country that I prefer to dink from the tap! I hope this helps :)Guest review byMelissa - 6.0

Stayed here because there was reasonably priced accommodations mostly on route to where we were going. The town is small, doesn't appear to be too much to it. The people were nice, it felt safe, and was by the water.Guest review byJennaAustralia - 10.0

Hellnar is the perfect location, close to all the major attractions on the peninsula and an ideal place to spend the night while soaking in the beauty of the landscape. There’s a charming little café just a few minutes from the Peninsula Suites that serves the best waffles with jam and whipped cream, an Icelandic classic. The views are truly out of this world, we’ve never seen anything like it. Cliffs, ocean, glacier, and moss all come together in the most breathtaking way. It’s an absolute must on your trip!Guest review byDorota KotniewiczPoland - 10.0
Beautiful, remote yet friendly place.
Beautiful, remote yet friendly place. Remarkably helpful tourist centre and well maintained roads and buildings despite remoteness. You need a car to fully experience the place. Come with your food for the stay as no shops in town. Hellesandur and surrounding villages are beautiful. Recommend visiting the spa in olafsvikGuest review byLuke BainesUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The annual music festival was great as ever with fine program and performing artists. The new church has outstanding acoustics and do not forget do have a glance at the old church from 1887 and the Snorri Sturluson bath originated from 13th century.Guest review byMagnúsIceland
