Arezzo was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever been. We went when the Antiques Fair was on and the Giostra del Saracino and there was such a great vibe and atmosphere there. We absolutely loved Arezzo and would definitely go back for longer.Guest review byJustineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that Tuscany( Montepulciano, Assisi, Arezzo, Pienza, Sienna) has to offer. Parking can be a challenge, but the town itself is delight with many terrific resturants(La Bucaccia & Antica Trattoria) that cater to vistors. I could spend a month living in Cortona.Guest review byRossUnited States - 10.0

I true gem in eastern Tuscany, this is a very walkable village with great restaurants, bars, views of countryside and amazing history. The people of the town were extremely friendly and it was not overcrowded with tourists. I would highly recommend a visit.Guest review byHeatherUnited States - 10.0

Stia is a small, authentic town, an hour's drive from Florence. It has some really nice restaurants, such as the Kaymà restaurant in Hotel Via Roma 33, or L'Ospitale Dei Brilli, where we ate several times. Book a table in advance, as you'll miss out otherwise. There's a nice park with a small waterfall within walking distance, a large COOP supermarket, and a fresh bakery for everything delicious. There are few shops, but nearby towns offer some. From Stia, you can also plan hiking trips or other outdoor activities.Guest review byDorienNetherlands - 8.0

The historic center of Poppi is a small part of the larger total, but it's interesting, walkable and scenic. We found Google Maps to be very effective getting us to the historic center, but useless getting us to Albergo San Lorenzo. A phone call was required, and the nice clerk cheerfully guided us in real time, out of the center, around the side and directly to the hotel parking lot. It was very close to our "lost" position, but one-way streets had defeated Google Maps and our own efforts. On a Sunday afternoon little was open for a meal but we discovered a cafe directly in front of the Castle and got a good sandwich. The views from there are great.Guest review byGanfoUnited States - 8.0

Anghiari is steeped in history its walls and narrow streets suddenly open to expansive vistas. Places to eat and drink are plentiful with a high standard of food and service for a relatively 'off the beaten track' settlement - food far better than Venice! There are many hill top towns/villages to visit - Poppi and Caprese Michaelangelo are stand out. Anghiari and its environs has plenty to offer for a 3/4 night stay.Guest review byAlvanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved Arezzo so much we decided to buy a home and retire here! City has it all - train directly into town, flat walkable and pedestrian friendly city with more delicious restaurants than one could ever try in a lifetime. Nice park with a view and amenities adjacent to Duomo and plenty of shopping - this is a city where people live and tourists tend to visit on famous Antique Market weekend so you get a sense of what it's like to actually live in an Italian town - hours of operation for shops and restaurants are Italian vs tourist, people are friendly and it's a safe city without the stress of pick pockets or crowds - most people miss Arezzo; don't be one of them!Guest review by629 - 10.0

Amazing medieval city with beautiful architecture and a great atmosphere. We were there on the main holiday weekend of the year and it was very crowded. There was a food festival in the park, a photographic exhibition in various sites around the city and a band playing in the Teatro Piazza in the evening. The many churches are beautiful and there are restaurants to suit everybody - from gourmet to burgers. Never a dull moment for two days. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility problems because of the steep hills and cobbled streets.Guest review byRoyGreece - 10.0
It is compact. Not Hilly. Has the Pieros to view.
It is compact. Not Hilly. Has the Pieros to view. Lovely churches. Good restaurants and with a car the perfect base to set out from to explore the Tiber valley and the Val d'Arno. Been going there for some 50 years. Just get the maps and start discovering lost castles and churches and glorious scenery.Guest review byBoringUnited Kingdom
