From the time we arrived at the reception we knew we were in for a great stay. The city and the hotel were magical , we did not want to leave. Antonio gave us the warmest welcome. He was informative and you knew the entire staff were dedicated to making your stay the best it could be. The breakfast was delightful with typical Italian selections and alternatives to meet anyone’s needs. It’s hard to put your camera down even the bathroom is worth a picture. We travel extensively and this stay definitely stands out . We would recommend and hope to return someday to enjoy their delightful wines and ambience , Millie Grazie

Elena’s property was stellar! If I could give her 100 stars, I would! Elena was a wonderful host; she met us, told us where to park and took us to our apartment. Our room had two windows; one overlooked the quaint street, and the other a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment itself was a perfect size for my husband and me. Each morning, we went down one flight of stairs to the kitchen where Antonella was waiting to pamper us with coffee, cappuccino, cornetto, juice, and granola. Besides the Bed & Breakfast, Elena has a restaurant called Rupp Diun. All I can say is W.O.W! We told Elena our food preferences, (I am a vegetarian, for example), and she totally customized the meal that she prepared. Elena has a gift for making you feel like family. We ate at Rupp Diun multiple times because when the food is that good, why go anywhere else! It was fun to meet Elena's family and friends throughout our stay! Full disclosure: my grandmother was born in Colobraro in 1897, and I am on a mission to find out anything I can about my Italian roots. I probably would not have visited Colobraro if not for my grandmother, but what a shame that would have been. Elena and her friend Maria were extremely helpful in guiding me with my search. This beautiful, welcoming hill-top town with the most charming people should be on the bucket list of those that are looking to immerse themselves in Italian culture and history. I hope I am lucky enough to be able to make my way back to this charming city that is filled with townspeople that welcome you with enthusiasm and pride that leaves you with a longing to return. We stayed there for one night on our way from Bari to Sicily. The hotel rooms are placed in a corridor building forming an arc. The pool was really nice, and the water was warm. A lot of outdoor space. There is a football pitch, tennis court, night show for the kids, animators (both kids and adults)… The hotel is about 2 km from the beach, but there is a bus to and from the beach. We had bed and breakfast but opted to pay for the buffet dinner. It was amazing. The pasta was excellent. Breakfast was very nice as well. The staff was very pleasant. Friendly and doing their best to cooperate.

This hotel room was honestly one of a kind, it’s built inside a grotto, which made it super unique and cozy. The location is incredible, with the most amazing view of Matera! The homemade breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the staff were all so kind and helpful throughout the stay. Definitely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed in, highly recommend!

I liked the old city center area, all the restaurants and shops just a short walk on mostly level ground. It seemed very safe! I would have liked to see the museum but it was a little too far and down a steep hill for a troublesome knee. A little knowledge of Italian and a translation app was helpful. The people would work with you and overall we’re very kind.

We had the most amazing meal at La Torre restaurant, Giuseppe is an amazing chef. His wife is an amazing host. Our food was of a very high standard and very well presented. I had a glass of red wine that was from the area. I so regret not taking a box home. Absolutely, love our stay. Unfortunately we only stayed one night. Will go back for sure.

We loved the town and we loved the apartment the hot tub was wonderful. My husband enjoyed the sauna and the Scottish shower. The shower in the bathroom was great and like artwork. The bed was very comfortable and the hostess and coworkers were great. The breakfast was great. The parking took a bit to figure out and you will do some up hill hiking to get around but so worth it the town is like a fairytale. Wish we had more time to stay and do some hiking and guided tours.

Marinagri offers very unique vibe.

Marinagri offers very unique vibe. It is peaceful and very tranquil, you will feel welcome and safe. Policoro is a small city. However it is very cute and people are kind, the weather is great in September. The reason I decided to travel to Marinaagri is sailing in the Ionian Sea. My sailing experience was sensational and I am happy I discovered new destination for my new sailing journeys. The food is amazing I did visited Nemo restaurant, this is very unique place with amazing food choices an first you may think it is a fast food place but I’d you go to Policoro you must try it it is amazing. Seafood is fresh and local and very tasty.

The diffuso concept is atypical so be ready for the room, breakfast, check-in, gym to all be in different places in the city. Each of these areas we used was wonderful, But our room was a bit of a walk from the check-in area. It happened to be that the walk was worth the location of our room. The room was large and clean and we had full control of heat and air. Everything very, very comfortable and clean and new.

An interesting city for a short visit.

An interesting city for a short visit. A nice Archeological museum (general tours are in Italian exclusively). The city is rich in its theatre but unfortunately, we came out of a season. The historic city centre is situated on the top of a high natural hill; verticals in the city are striking. Therefore, free public elevators are quite ordinary means of transportation.

Loved going up to Christ the Redeemer it was a fantastic view of the area.Worth the zigzag drive up . We went into the village and down by the boat harbour for dinner . Had the best ever dessert at 1999 ll Ristorante. The food there was amazing . Loved the beach ,the water felt warm , great for swimming. The only thing we found difficult was parking . It’s easy to find your way around but parking is difficult.
