Its a family run, magical place straight on the beach, very nice breakfast each morning. About the comments that its hard to reach – its a 10 minute walk to the bus, theres special foodbridge on the beach or you can take a water taxi from St. Angelo that brings you straight to the hotel. Not so hard in my opinion, but for people with mobility stuggles that might be an issue.

Absolutely loved this place! It was an amazing location close to beautiful beaches and scenery. We rented a car since we only stayed one day as it was a last minute trip we took from Napoli. There was a parking lot a two minute walk from the hotel which was very convenient (there is not a lot of easy access parking in general on the island) The only mistake we made was not staying longer! The staff were amazing, warm and welcoming. This place knows true hospitality. The people at this place made our stay truly memorable and even offered to take a picture of my fiancé and I with the beautiful seascape in the background and it’s one of my favorite photos we have from our entire trip to Italy. Highly recommend to stay at this wonderful place!

Good enough place with very very beautiful view from the balcony. It was absolutely amazing. The bus nr 5 is just in the same street, so it is very comfortable. The room is not very special but good enough. It was really clean.

Picturesque Island of Volcanic Rock, Thermal Spas and Pristine Beaches

Located 30 km from Naples and formed by a complex volcano, the pristine and breathtaking Ischia Island is Mother Nature’s hidden gem in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is surrounded by an unspoiled coastline, thermal spas, several hiking routes and spectacular scenery.

Built in 474 BC, Aragonese Castle which is perched on natural volcanic rock, is the most impressive historical monument on Ischia Island, and is a modern day reminder of the islands past. Another wonder of island is the Gardens of La Mortella. Filled with tropical and Mediterranean plants, these picture-perfect gardens offer some of the best views over the region and Forio Harbour.

Other attractions on Ischia Island are beaches such as Maronti Beach and Citara Beach. There is also the Angelo Rizzoli Museum, which is a museum of the famous Italian publisher and film producer Angelo Rizzoli, along with the mushroom rock (known to locals as the Fungo) located just off the port of Lacco Ameno. Several local restaurants and bars are scattered around the island serving traditional and local delights.

One of the most interesting and unique areas on Ischia Island is the bay of Citara, and the famous Poseidon thermal Gardens. It features several pools, spas, a traditional Roman Sauna, a private beach and various restaurants. Visitors also have great transportation links by bus around the island.

    We had an amazing stay. The rooms are spacious and the bed and pillows are comfortable. Good aircon in the rooms and amazing black out shutters on the windows The pools are beautiful and lots of space for chairs which was great. Just remember to take a swimming cap as you cannot swim in the pool without one but this wasn’t a big deal as the use of the pool outweighs having to wear a cap in the water. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve had and the service from the staff was always attentive and available. The staff across the whole hotel were always lovely and happy to help. I would like to make a special mention to one of the staff members Guiseppe from concierge. He gave us exceptional service and we are so thankful for how much he helped us trying to find a barber for my partner. He used his own time and followed up with us to help us with the booking he always had a friendly and welcoming smile. Thank you for making our stay one to remember.

Clean and well maintained pools are good standard here for a long time. Hotel location is convenient in the heart of Ischia Porto, near to grocery and bus stop, location safe due to police station nearby. Reception professional, kind and very helpful.     Ischia is a great island for vacation - there are many sandy beaches, spectacular views, a lot of greenery and of course delicious food. It is not difficult to go around the island by car. The roads are narrow and with many turns, and many people are driving motorbikes which makes driving difficult but you can survive:) People are very friendly and calm. The food is amazing, especially pasta in any form! The island is easy to reach - the are ferries from Naples, about an hour from there. Highly recommend Ischia to visit!

    This is just a wonderful place.

    This is just a wonderful place. We were there in August which should be high season but it wasn't too crowded. You of course have to have some tourism so that restaurants and shopping will thrive and for us this is just the perfect balance. Not too many people "in your way" but still enough to have a variety of restaurants, shops and all sorts of services. We will 100% be returning to Ischia... most likely more than once and more than twice.

    Visiting Ischai with a car was challenging.

    Visiting Ischai with a car was challenging. We pre booked the Ferry but still needed to exchange our reservation for a ticket. We struggled to locate the ticket office at the port and we couldn't get a ticket for both crossings and was only issued a ticket for the single journey so we needed to locate the ticket office both in our outbound and inbound journey which was a pain. Reversing the car onto the car ferry was also challenging. The Island is a little grubby, the architecture is in poor repair and the roads are challenging. Some of the people were friendly but in general we found the people a little rude and ignorant. Driving was also quite challenging with other drivers being very aggressive. The beaches were a little hit and miss. The beaches in the towns were busy and crowded with locals, if you moved out beyond towns you can find less crowded beaches but with basic facilities. The Island is very hilly and it was too difficult to walk anywhere we needed a car but you can hire scooters very easily on the Island. The food options were very good with Excellent Pizza - We recommend Bar Franco in Lacco Amenco it was one of the highlights our our trip - we went back twice in 4 days.
