Absolutely wonderful and quaint. The bistro that is associated with the rooms offered wonderful food and the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were comfortable and there was a lounge area where we could sit and drink a coffee. Highly recommended.

Fantastic and experienced staff/owners who completely understand how to greet, meet and deal with guests. Fine breakfast, eggs and toast made individually for you. Everything else you could want, breakfast room overlooking lake with panoramic views. New restaurant about to open we will return to sample, I expect and predict it will be excellent. Bedrooms beds are comfortable, mini bars with all contents more than fairly priced. Fantastic views of lake, a pleasure to visit this Hotel.

Our room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the pool, and equipped with modern furniture and a coffee machine. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We loved our stay at Casa Olea! The design is really special, the bed was super comfortable and the view of the lake was stunning! We could choose our breakfast the day before, everything was really fresh and they even had oat milk cappuccino. The spa is really nice as well. All the staff were great, a great thanks so all of them, especially Olga, who made our stay exceptional! We would definitely come back soon!

A Haven of Alpine Tranquillity

Surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Alps, Lake Como is a long, thin lake in the shape of an inverse ‘Y’. At its south-west corner is the beautiful town that it’s named after – Como. A short train ride from Milan, this is the starting point for several Lake Como cruises. If you take the funicular railway up to Brunate you get magnificent views of the lake and mountains, towards Switzerland just to the west.

The laidback and sophisticated way of life makes Como Lake popular with celebrities and several have homes in exclusive Bellagio, which is almost entirely surrounded by water. The views here are breathtaking, so it’s easy to see why of all the Lake Como hotels, Bellagio has the greatest concentration.

Just across the water are Lenno, Tremezzo and Menaggio, home to many exclusive lakefront hotels, many with swimming pools. You can actually swim in some parts of the lake, and the best beaches are found in the area near Gravedona in the north. Fanning out around a small harbour, this town offers some of the best Lake Como watersports.

At the lake’s south-eastern corner is Lecco, a town in the shadow of rugged mountains. Booking.com has a great range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Lecco and all the other main Lake Como towns.

    The location itself is truly beautiful, offering stunning views of the mountains and lakes that leave no one indifferent. As a couple, we thoroughly enjoyed this view. The staff are incredibly friendly. It's evident that the family running the place has years of experience and pays attention to every detail. The property is fascinating, providing a unique ambiance both inside and out. We especially enjoyed the lovely outdoor scenery and nature, and we must mention Rocco, the owners’ charming dog who kept us company and made our stay even more delightful. The rooms are clean and tidy, as is the entire environment. One thing to note is that the mattresses are firmer than usual, but this didn't detract from our experience. The food is excellent, particularly lunch and dinner, which are homemade and delicious (best Tiramisu we tasted in Italy). I would gladly return to this location.

    The location is just a magic, rich of nature and calm. The villa itself is very charming and has a spirit and story. Is very well located so has the best view over a lake.     Bellagio is just so nice. The jewel in the crown. Busy during the day but better in the evening. Saying that, you can still get around. It’s charming, clean and plenty of shops restaurants. Great location to hop on the ferry to explore. Definitely the best place in our opinion but the area is stunning anyway. Ciao ciao.

    Lecco is in the south part of Lake Como, but from almost all the cities that we look around the Lake, apart from Bellagio, Lecco is the most picturesque because the mountains chain in the Background. Is simply breathtaking. The city itself has nice restaurants, stores and the walk around the lake is fantastic. Is served from a Train station the reaches Milan and the airports in few times, make it easy to depart and come from overseas. The ferry boats have a fantastic service, and people are nice and helpful. Loved Lecco!!!

    It was an excellent stay and really liked staying in Menaggio and moving everytime to another place. The two best locations to stay are Menaggio or Bellagio. There is some things to do and avoid coming from Milan late because buses and taxis are not available late.

    Varenna is a good spot to base yourself when coming to Lake Como. From here you can visit all the other towns, like Bellagio and Menaggio etc. Easy to get into via Ferry or Train. Nice size town, though it is becoming very crowded.

    I’d definetly book this place again, great views. It was fairly easy to get to and from, bit of a long journey but didn’t mind. The staff were great and the other people staying were nice to very international and friendly oh and I loved seeing peoples dogs but I’m not sure if they were staying there? The room was clean, beds comfortable, WiFi not sure it worked, breakfast good and fair price.

    It's a cute town with some lovely restaurants and easy enough to walk around for someone of average fitness. However if your purpose is to explore most of Lake Como, you will be limited to the slow ferry up to Bellagio / Varenna / Menaggio which takes 2-3hours. We had originally booked to stay in Varenna but cancelled due to works on the train line to get there. It still would have been a better option, or just staying in Como town to access the fast ferry. Most of the private boat tours also pick up from Como or from the "Golden Triangle" of the lake.

    Tremezzo is a beautiful town to stay in on the coast of Lake Como. It’s very easy to take the ferry to many other towns as well as Bellagio, on the lake. It was wonderful to spend several nights there.

    Bellano is an amazing place to visit.

    Bellano is an amazing place to visit. Absolutely beautiful and so easy to get around on the ferry. Restaurants are close by aswell as supermarkets. TBH I could just sit and look out at the amazing views all day long!
