We booked this hotel to be near the train station since we were leaving very early. It was totally quiet - unexpectedly so. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It is directly across the street from the train station entrance, so couldn't have been easier. The stand-out though was the staff - friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

    I have never written a review before but our stay at Casa Margarita was very special. Barbara communicated with us before our, arrival and worked with us about where to park and gave us info on how to navigate the city..Our room was very spacious. the location was right in the center. Breakfast included ham, cheese, yogurt, croissants and more. . Barbara was warm and gracious, just a lovely host. Mantova is a wonderful city, definitely worth seeing. Stay at Casa Margarita you will not be disappointed.

    This location is simply amazing! We spent a beautiful and comfortable night, the room is very big and with a small refrigerator with some water bottles, bathroom is big and clean, beds are big, clean, and enough soft to sleep very well. Host has been very very kind and proposed us to go to have an amazing dinner by a local restaurant. Price compared the service is good! Very good breakfast in a clean and fresh room

    The apartment was lovely. Perfect location and very comfortable for us. We would definitely stay again! The housekeeper (sorry, I wish I could remember her name!) was wonderful. She offered to call a taxi for us the morning we left and insisted on staying with us in front of the building to make sure our taxi arrived. She went above and beyond to help us. Many thanks to her!

    2 nights / days in Mantova was perfect. Its a hidden gem. So rare to be able to go to places like this with no crowds, great food/culture and atmosphere. Didn't feel ripped off, prices were reasonable. The sites were as good as if not better than Venice minus the canals and crowds. They don't call this town/city the inland Venice for nothing.

    This small town makes a good spot from which you can make excursions into the larger historic city of Mantova. The people were friendly and welcoming. We discovered one main restaurant called Le Scuderie which had a large menu and excellent food.

    Ducal palace and Te palace were amazing not just for the artwork but for the incredible decorated ceilings and walls. Lake tour is well worth doing. Mantegnas house disappointing. It is an easy town to walk around and see everything. The Duomo and of course the Basilica are stunning but also the very old circular church. We were lucky enough to have a walk around their library founded in 1770 and don’t miss the cute little theatre Bibiena where Mozart played.

    We had just limited time to see Mantova - in the evening after our arrival. But nice town to go for walk also in the evening, many old palaces and houses, nice atmosphere, lot of possibilities for nice dinner.
