- From US$290.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 150 reviewsEverything about the property was great - the location, the facilities, the food and most especially the personal attention given to us by the staff. The entire hotel has been carefully designed and finished retaining charm and authenticity. We found every corner to be beautifully curated, and with Stromboli as the main backdrop, it all made for a visually stunning experience. Relaxing on a hammock overlooking Stromboli on the hotel room terrace is an experience in itself. Food is excellent at both breakfast and dinner. They offer a selection of homemade marmalades, granitas and cakes for breakfast which are delightful. Dinner was also a pleasant experience and we fully recommend their exceptional pasta Norma with baked ricotta salata. Getting there and around was easy as the hotel is one alleyway away from the Main Street in Santa Maria Salina and port.Guest review byCarlMalta
- From US$213.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 215 reviewsWe adored our two-night stay at I Cinque Balconi. The welcome was warm and helpful. Reception is beautiful and sets the tone and ambiance of the experience. Our room was fabulous. It was the perfect balance of rustic, Aeolian charm and the modern. From the decor to the service to the food at the restaurant, there is such attention to detail. We loved the breakfast and how you can order what you want in advance so there is no waste and the offerings can be nice and fresh! The staff were all so friendly, helpful, and professional. We made use of the laundry service and were so happy with the results! Also, the garden is grand for enjoying breakfast or for sitting with an aperitif in the early evening. Finally, the location is outstanding. We couldn’t have been happier with I Cinque Balconi!Guest review byMargaretUnited States
- From US$406.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 212 reviewsWe had such a wonderful time at Hotel Ravesi. The hotel is a peaceful oasis in the centre of Malfa. There are gardens, a rooftop terrace and a heated infinity pool and all with the most incredible view out to sea and of the neighbouring islands Stromboli and Panarea. Our room, which was recently refurbished, was beautiful and serene. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to help us have the perfect stay, helping us organise activities and giving us advise on what to do on the island. Just amazing! We will be back for sure!Guest review byEleanorNepal
- From US$272.60 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 150 reviewsThe Signum is the most beautiful boutique hotel in the Aeolian Islands. Led by the Caruso family, with a great sense of beauty and hospitality, our experience has exceeded our expectations. The fine dining and the regular restaurant are full of local products and traditional flavors (with an eye to the future and innovation). I recommend trying and tasting the excellent Aeolian wines, including those from the same family. Thank you for this fantastic experience. We will be back.Guest review byEma51United States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 149 reviewsThe breakfast was solid with lots of variety; the host made very good cappuccinos, and always offered to make a second which I gladly accepted. The host and hostess went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, comfortable, and had all the information necessary to enjoy my experience. They even arranged transportation for me to and from the ferries at no cost to me!Guest review byNicholasUnited States

Charming and laidback- a great place to relax and chill. Enjoyed impromptu wine tasting at Fenech, and appreciated being shown around the island in an Ape calessino ( 3 wheeled motorbike) ecotour - highly recommended!Guest review byMaryAustralia - 10.0

Great little village with lots of delicious restaurants ad shops and galleries. Lots of fruit trees and a really cute beach (Spiaggia dello Scario). The village has a small supermarket, and has very good access to the rest of the island via the bus system, or by hiring a car or scooter at the various hire companies in the village.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to...
Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop, one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 4.0
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo...
My review of Lingua has nothing to do with the Hotel Borgo di Mare where we stayed. It is strictly limited to the sea front part of the village where restaurant and various shops are located. Although we came in the second part of June, the summer vacation season had barely started with most of the restaurant not yet fully ready, offering partial services, like no pizza even if already on the menu. We had to manage our expectations on a case-by-case basis. But altogether we found the offering at the time very basic (range of choices), poorly executed and pricy (meaning high season prices)Guest review byFrancoisPortugal - 10.0
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands.
Salina is one of the most beautiful Aeolian Islands. It is well reputed for Malvasia wine and capers. The scenery is fantastic and the island offers good possibilities for a nice holiday. There are good walking opportunities, a reliable bus service, great cafes and restaurants and some nice shops.Guest review byBirgit SchunkeGermany - 10.0
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month!
We could have stayed in Malfa for at least a month! It was a quiet, peaceful town, with a small main street with a handful of shops, and maybe three restaurants, and more of a takeout cafe. We had excellent, leisurely meals at two of the restaurants, and really enjoyed the staff at both. We walked down to the beach one day, and loved it, but it was otherwise a lazy few days in a spectacularly beautiful place with very pleasant people. Malfa is a treasure!Guest review byShelbyUnited States - 10.0

It’s simply wonderful - just the right balance of leisure, shops, restaurants, not too overcrowded (early September) so strolling around is very pleasant. Lots of trips and activities, friendly people. This is my second visit and I would highly recommend itGuest review byGailItaly
