A quiet town with wonderful people and old buildings full of history. Many terraces/restaurants with a variety of menus and affordable prices. Being a small town you can walk around without needing any means of transport. If you want to leave Alghero, you need a car because public transport is poor.Guest review byStefanRomania - 10.0

Olbia is the best place to stay if you want to see and travel the north-east coast of Sardegna. You will be in driving distance from Cala Golorite and from other amazing beaches that must be seen while on the islandGuest review byManuelRomania - 6.0

It's a beautiful place but it was very obvious that most of the locals were not super thrilled about the tourists and they took a lot of opportunities to overcharge and scam us, particularly at some restaurants. Please note that some people were very kind and welcoming but that wasn't common unfortunately. I wish I could say I loved San Teodoro but I had a much nicer time in Olbia.Guest review byLilianAustralia - 10.0

We have stayed in other very nice resorts and hotels with robust amenities throughout Sardinia and this was easily our favorite one. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist us. In addition to the hotel, we loved touring around Capo Testa and spent a lot of time in Santa Teresa which is a very charming town near the hotel. Next time we will spend more time at the beaches since an injury prevented us from navigating the rocky beach.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 10.0
The best place in Sardinia.
The best place in Sardinia. Cute Italian town with picturesque houses, great restaurants and the best gelato. We loved going from beach to beach, they all possess different qualities, but they are all lovely with the bluest water I’ve seen. You definitely need a car or a Vespa to get the best experience. Taking a boat trip for a day is also a must! Would strongly recommend spending a few days in La Maddalena!Guest review byTameshaNorway - 8.0

We highly recommend Palau for its great connections to La Maddalena – just a 20–25 minute ferry ride, with departures every 30 minutes. Once on La Maddalena, we rented a rubber boat (gommoni) to explore the rest of the paradise-like islands, so the location turned out to be a perfect choice.Guest review byAlejandraSwitzerland - 4.0
Sardegna is overpriced for what it is.
Sardegna is overpriced for what it is. Sure you come for the picturesque beaches but you'll pay for it. To stay at the beach and get an umbrella and two beach chairs will cost you 50EUR. The food is extremely at the beach restaurant, just junk food really. not a proper Italian experience. We struggled to find good restaurants in the area, there was only one really nice one down at the port Ristorante Lina, but apart from that we couldn't wait to move on to our next adventure.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Castelsardo itself is an interesting small city with its castle and round streets. Hikers and people doing "steps" should love hundreds of steers and narrow uphill streets, especially in the rather well preserved tower area. And, it hides so good seafood restaurants with spectacular views. I thought I had it all already, yet we were seriously surprised of the food and service quality. Sure, tripadvisor points tell the story. Yet in some cities you could find pizza kiosks also with ratings like 4.8, so watch out. Trekking and hiking roads are also near by. Beware of review dates. Some are full of bushes, still not cleaned, so it took us 3 tryouts to find a decent track. Most of these tracks are unmarked. Would be hard to find these if you have experienced German way of marking tracks.Guest review byMikk OrglaanEstonia - 10.0
What an amzing place!
What an amzing place! We loved the city, the prommenades, the shopping, restaurants, and of course the beaches! We visited: Poltu Quato for a dinner at Tanit (definitely recommend), we visited beaches at: Spiaggia del Principe, Grande Pevero, and Rena Bianca, Rena Bianca was by far the best!Guest review byHusseinSwitzerland - 10.0

Beautiful city, much cheaper to eat and drink out than in the coastal towns. Plenty to explore, shopping, historical buildings and churches. Excellent array of restaurants and bars. Hypermarkets on the outskirts for anything that you might need.Guest review byDeniseUnited Kingdom
