Sorrento is not a beach holiday there is lots of walking involved the local buses and trains are a good way to get around. A beautiful part of the world and would recommend visiting other areas of Italy , Positano, Almalfi, Capri . Enjoyed Cucu bar the food was great and the staff. Our favourite was bar Ercolano which is situated in Piazza Tasso the staff and food were greatGuest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We had ashort visit and enjoyed the beautiful views. The nature of the coastline requires a long walk down from the town to access the beach but there are small buses between the beach and the railway station. Information on this would be helpful prior to visiting and there was no signage which would help a tourist as far as we could see. There is atourist info office in the town.Guest review byLaneUnited Kingdom - 2.0
Horrible! Crowded, and the traffic is insane.
Horrible! Crowded, and the traffic is insane. People drive as if they want to die. Reckless motorcycles everywhere. If you come from a place where traffic is organized and respectful, do not go there.Guest review byJuanUnited States - 10.0
Divine.
Divine. The loc was fabulous and will always recommend this location to people. The mountain, the hills, the smell, the city had nice restaurants, and the dinner was delicious and pretty places to take pictures. Train from Sorrento to Naples to Amalfi Coast was astonishing. Will do it again and recommend it.Guest review byAyo AriyibiUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked.
Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. We ate here three times, each time trying different things and everything was delicious.Guest review byElizabeth HUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely village.
Lovely village. Fabulous views of Bay of Naples, Capri and coastal area. gorgeous cafe across from Church del Lauro. friendly and chatty owner. Local Sita bus available and frequent - central to visit Piano de Sorrento, north to naples and down south to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast. Supermarkets/local shops for supplies.Guest review bysandraIreland - 8.0
It was fantastic. Great views.
It was fantastic. Great views. Beautiful culture, area, lots to do. Kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking every meal but you don’t need to. Affordable local restaurants are walking distance and the best food we had in Italy. Try Eugenia. - restaurant a bit down from the church.Guest review byJonathonUnited States - 10.0
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends.
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. And finally, Pino is such an amazing host! He helped us with everything we need, from finding best restaurants around to having some music in the villa.Guest review byAgneBaLithuania - 10.0

My husband and I have been to Sorrento a few times in the past 5 years. It is very beautiful. We have really noticed the increase in tourism and especially the increase in cost of eating out. Elastic pants are definitely your friend here as the food is so good and some of the restaurants outstanding! We have visited Pompeii, Herculaneum, Positano, Amalfi. Stayed overnight in Capri and a day trip to Ischia. It is a most beautiful part of the world.Guest review bySamanthaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro.
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro. It’s a must-try experience—the pizza is delicious, authentic, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Where we ate: Most of the time, we enjoyed a mix—some meals at home, plenty of pizza at Pizza al Metro, lunches and snacks while out on the boat, and groceries from Conad when we wanted something simple. Getting around: Getting around Vico Equense is very easy—if you have a car. The roads are manageable, parking is available with some planning, and driving makes it simple to explore the surrounding towns and coast. Without a car, moving around could be more challenging. Fun activities for groups of friends: Visiting Positano – an absolute must for its iconic views, boutique shops, and vibrant atmosphere. Exploring Pompeii – a fascinating and powerful experience, especially with a good guide. Renting a boat – one of the highlights, giving us the freedom to enjoy the coastline, swim in hidden spots, and see the Amalfi Coast from the sea. Overall, Vico Equense was a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure—amazing food, convenient location, and plenty of activities for groups of friends.Guest review byDumitrița
