- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 77 reviewsEverything! Rafaela, Riccardo, Carlo and all the employees of the resort, including the reception and the restaurant make you feel home. The grounds of the hotel are clear, isolated, located in such a green-lush setting that you never want to leave. The sea is just by your step, and whenever you want to enjoy the sunset or walk by the beautiful Biadola, it’s there. It’s a perfect place for bohemian, easy going and quiet luxuries sense of treating yourself.Guest review byYasinUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 751 reviewsThe forest setting of the houses complex is perfect to avoid the Italian summer heat. We were able to reach the beach, restaurant or the pool almost all the way in shade, making it an enjoyable walk. The car parking spot was close to the house and not under direct sun for the whole day. In addition, the beach was perfect for children.Guest review byMihaiNetherlands

Florence is very busy.
Florence is very busy. Pre book tickets online at official sites. I was unable to get in at the dome of Duomo because I did not book ahead. Go on the bus tour to Pisa, Sienna and San Gimignano, we'll worth it.Guest review byRenateSouth Africa - 10.0

Once you've done the tower and cathedral, pay 5 euros more and walk the city walls for a quiet hour away from the crowds with great views of the city. You finish down by the river, and can then return through fascinating old streets to the centre.Guest review byDaveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We flew into Pisa, but choses to stay in Lucca because of the parkrun on Saturday morning. Then we set about finding out what Lucca had to offer, and it was a lot! Beautiful walled city, where every street is pretty and a joy to walk along. Lots of cafes, restaurants, ice cream places and other shops. The walk along the wall was pleasant and had great views of the city and the Tuscan hills. Very clean, welcoming and friendly place to visit and not afflicted by the over-touristism in neighbouring Florence and Pisa.Guest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We went to several walled cities on our few days in Tuscany. San G was our absolute favorite. Very clean and the food was amazing. Be prepared to walk a lot up hill, but that's the same with any Tuscany walled city.Guest review byDeborahUnited States - 4.0

Was not impressed with the city and expected more given all the review I read online. My disapointment could be due to the fact I visited in February, so off season. I booked two nights but decided to only stay for one and left early. Even though I booked a room in the central part of the city I did not feel safe walking the streets at night.Guest review byViktoria - 10.0
Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany.
Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany. We were on a ridge, overlooking a valley of wine fields and olive tree orchards, and looking up at Montepulciano. View couldn't have been more perfect. Ate dinner in town 2 nights at restaurant recommended by host - really practical and delicious.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We loved Arezzo so much we decided to buy a home and retire here! City has it all - train directly into town, flat walkable and pedestrian friendly city with more delicious restaurants than one could ever try in a lifetime. Nice park with a view and amenities adjacent to Duomo and plenty of shopping - this is a city where people live and tourists tend to visit on famous Antique Market weekend so you get a sense of what it's like to actually live in an Italian town - hours of operation for shops and restaurants are Italian vs tourist, people are friendly and it's a safe city without the stress of pick pockets or crowds - most people miss Arezzo; don't be one of them!Guest review by629 - 8.0
A very attractive town.
A very attractive town. The beaches are superb, but unless you head out of town you need to go into a beach club. There are no free access beaches in town. Some hotels have an arrangement with a beach club for free or discounted access for guests, so it is worth checking this if you intend to use the beaches. It can cost typically EUR30-40 for 2 chairs, a sunbed and an umbrella. They don't offer reduced rates until 3-4pm. That will add up after a few days. The restaurants are OK but nothing special. Most of them serve the same food, which can get boring. We ate in our hotel restaurant more than we usually would, but the quality and variety of food on offer was better than any outside restaurant we tried. Apart from the beach, shops and walking up and down the promenade, there is not much to actually do in Viarregio, so you may want to get out on some day trips. Pisa and Luca are accessible by train, although we found them both to be disappointing (especially Luca - what a dump!). We found the train service a bit hit and miss, although it is cheap. Consider hiring a car if you plan to get out of Viareggio. If you pick up and drop off at the airport, it will also be useful for airport transfers.Guest review byFarnboUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Pienza is a fantastic hilltop town with wonderful views over the Val D'Orcia valley. It has wonderful streets, restaurants, and historical sites to explore.
