- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 195 reviewsThis is not the first time we have visited the hotel-SPA, and we can say that in this case we found ourselves quite satisfied. Being able to swim in the thermal water pool is a wonderful experience. Also pleased that the thermal baths could be taken right in the room. The most valuable thing about the hotel is its location. Whilst the service was decent, it's accessibility to the main wine regions, and views in all directions was still the most important thing. Stepping out on the patio or climbing out of the pool we were directly frozen by the incredible beauty of Val d'Orcia. The staff were very attentive and tried their best to help. For example, the nearest bridge over the Orcia River was closed for repairs and we would have had to take a circuitous route to the restaurant. However, the member of staff at reception found out that the bridge was accessible at the weekend, even though all the navigators showed otherwise, and we saved a lot of travelling time. One of the most powerful experiences was a wine tasting in the Castle, conducted by the hotel sommelier. He told us about local wine in a wonderful, clear and interesting way, showed us vineyards, shared the secrets of their care and explained the peculiarities of each variety tasted. We were very impressed and grateful for this unique experience!Guest review byBoris MarinichevMalta
- From US$105.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,405 reviewsWe loved this Hotel. Niccolo ( I hope I spelled his name correctly) went all out to help us get around Montepulciano and its surroundings. He gave us so much information on what to do and where to eat. He was very friendly, and helpful. Overall the entire staff was awesome. Breakfast was to our taste, one of the best ones we had during our entire trip. And the attention by Niccolo and his brother Mateo was great. Truth be told, we slept great. Not sure if it was the Hot Springs we visited, but the rooms and beds were very comfortable. There were no rooms for 4 (to include my children) so we had to book 2 rooms, but prices were very reasonable and they were able to accommodate us side by side. The location is a bit out of Montepulciano, but since we rented a car, we had no issues. Grazie Niccolo!! We will definitely come back one day!Guest review byMarioUnited States
- From US$276.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsPicturesque location! Everything at the property including amenities were superb! The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The room was a good size, with decent working air conditioning (for Italy) with a lovely view from our balcony. The pool area was just gorgeous and felt very private anywhere you choose to sit - with great views of the surroundings. The spa was very relaxing, and you will need to purchase a cap from reception to wear while using. The property is a very short (10mins max) and enjoyable walk to the gorgeous town of San Quirico d’Orcia. We stayed here for one night before a wedding in Montalcino, and only wished we could have stayed longer! It’s a convenient location to visit other towns in the area, plenty of parking on site. The breakfast had a large selection!Guest review byMollyAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 615 reviewsOur stay at Capanna Suites was a wonderful experience. The suite was beautifully designed – modern, elegant, and very comfortable. Every detail reflected care and quality. One of the standout features was the setting: breathtaking views over the rolling Tuscan hills, best enjoyed from the stunning infinity pool that blends seamlessly into the landscape. The property is peaceful and impeccably maintained, and the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. A special thank-you goes to Anna, whose warm and caring nature made a lasting impression. Everything worked smoothly, the location is ideal for exploring the area, and we felt completely at ease from the moment we arrived.Guest review byM.K.H..Germany

Facilities may not be as new as hotels, but still cozy enough to enjoy Val D’Orcia atmosphere. Host Luca is responsive and easy to find him if any questions. A bit pity the weather was chill and not so suitable for swimming, but the pool view was really nice.Guest review byReneeTaiwan

Beautiful Tuscan town.
Beautiful Tuscan town. But the two main churches are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, if you can believe it... Better stay in Peinza or Montepulciano. But Sant'Antimo Abbey, 10 kms away, is a world wonder.Guest review byChristopheFrance - 10.0

Good town close to many attractions we never got to. Wineries and scenery exceptional. Pleasant and friendly people who help non Italian speaking tourists. So many places within a short distance access for walkers cyclists or car drivers. It's isolation makes it more special.Guest review byRosAustralia - 10.0

Bagno Vignoni is a small, beautiful town.
Bagno Vignoni is a small, beautiful town. The first time we experience the thermal pool instead the Market Square. Around there are small restaurants with typica Tuscany dishes and typical Italian service kindness. Nearby there are thermal lakes and a lot of wineries with a good San Giovese vine.Guest review byKristofPoland - 10.0

Monticchiello is a great hill top village to stay overnight when travelling through Tuscany. Beautifully quiet in the evening but with a number of restaurants to choose from to suit all tastes. We ate at Osteria Fra Paolino which was exceptional and proved to be the best meal of the 2 weeks we spent travelling from Rome through Tuscany to Florence.Guest review bymargaretUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hot springs are in a natural setting and they are amazing - much less crowded than Saturnia. There are more hot springs at an old destroyed marble mine which the workers made into pools - locals go there and they are easy to accessGuest review byJenny DunnAustralia - 10.0
Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany.
Just my wife and I, trying to get some feel for Tuscany. We were on a ridge, overlooking a valley of wine fields and olive tree orchards, and looking up at Montepulciano. View couldn't have been more perfect. Ate dinner in town 2 nights at restaurant recommended by host - really practical and delicious.Guest review byAnonymous
