- From US$502.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,039 reviewsThe thermal spa facilities at the Hotel were exceptionally good. They were varied, open all day, very clean and well serviced by staff, both for towels, accessories and safety. All of the staff were very knowledgeable, helpful and provided us with the exact information we required to get the maximum benefit from the spa waters. The hotel staff were similarly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel drivers who undertook our transfers to and from Florence Airport to the hotel were particularly good: friendly, informative, polite and very safe drivers.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
- From US$192.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 739 reviewsChose this hotel outside Cortona for its views and pool and neither disappointed. The grounds and pool are beautifully kept, and plenty of seating/sunbeds with shade if you want it (I do!). Dinner on the terraced outdoor restaurant was also accompanied by a fab sunset over the valley. Room had character, was clean, and with quiet aircon. Breakfast was a veritable feast if you wanted it, and the variety, even for those of us wanting savoury options, was excellent. The location was only a 10-minute drive from Cortona, which had ample parking.Guest review byJanet AnneItaly

Absolutely LOVE Montepulciano; I have spent extended time here and brought a friend for 2 nights which she thought was perfect. Allowed enough time to see the town, enjoy long meals and leisurely walks to see everything and do some shopping while not having to rush - views are spectacular and people are all so nice and most have enough English to adequately communicate if you don't know any Italian. Wine is fantastic everywhere and it's not priced like a tourist town - prefer it to San Gimignano, Cortona, Orvieto, Todi and Assisi if you only have time to do one (they are all worth visiting though!). Train to Chiusi then bus straight into town if you don't want to rent a car - super simple & reliable schedule but there is free parking and plenty of paid lots if you do rent a car. Also centrally located with, easy visits to several smaller towns like Pienza, and Lucignano if you do have a car and want to extend your stay in same property.Guest review by629 - 8.0
The town is nice.
The town is nice. It is a quiet time of the year, but the merchants we encountered were friendly. The Terme Theia was ok, but the management inflexible when I tried to inform them of a booking error within 24hours of making it they did not reply to my emails, and when I spoke to the they said that once I paid there was no refund or changes. I prefer the Terme sensoriale, but unfortunately they are only open on weekendsGuest review byKathleenItaly - 10.0

Amazing medieval city with beautiful architecture and a great atmosphere. We were there on the main holiday weekend of the year and it was very crowded. There was a food festival in the park, a photographic exhibition in various sites around the city and a band playing in the Teatro Piazza in the evening. The many churches are beautiful and there are restaurants to suit everybody - from gourmet to burgers. Never a dull moment for two days. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility problems because of the steep hills and cobbled streets.Guest review byRoyGreece - 8.0
Town of Chiusi consist of two parts.
Town of Chiusi consist of two parts. Stick to the historical side on the hill for best town experience, good restaurants and Tuscan feeling. Use the newer part of the town only for your grocery, petrol and laundry needs.Guest review byPawełNorway - 10.0
A beautiful Tuscany village, like out of a postcard.
A beautiful Tuscany village, like out of a postcard. Narrow winding streets, a really neat town square- the Piazza Garibaldi- had breakfast there every morning at the Bar Langola. Neat restaurants and shops. Great location, only @40 km from Florence, 200 km to Rome. Easy access to anywhere in Tuscany and the Chiani Valley. I could retire here. FYI, no public transportation, best to rent a car. The streets are beautiful but challenging, drive carefully.Guest review byJohnSaudi Arabia - 8.0
Sarteano is a small, picturesque hilltop town.
Sarteano is a small, picturesque hilltop town. It has a range of shops, bars and restaurants, a castle and a lot of typical winding streets. A good base from which to explore the local sights. While we were there we visited Siena, Monteriggione, Pienza and Montecchiello, Montepulciano and, one of the highlights, Bagni di San Filippo, where you can bathe in warm sulphurous waters.Guest review byJuliaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Peace and calm. Wonderful weather and views. Great food. Warm welcome and cheerful hosts. A place to relax, un-wind and 'just enjoy a peaceful life'. Danielies (sp?) is S C d Bagni an exceptional restaurant! Just enjoy all the mountain top villages - each has much to offer.Guest review byBrianUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The swimming pool was lovely.
The swimming pool was lovely. The room whilst perfectly adequate was not as shown in the photograph whilst booking. The shower in the bathroom was a clumsy hand held one that you had to use whilst standing in the bath. The restaurant food was not very good when compared with other local restaurants and the service was somewhat chaotic. Better to go five minutes down the road to the local trattoria.Guest review byHenryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was planning to go to Tuscany for a long time. And with lots of expectation, I was afraid of being disappointed with any minor issue arising during the trip. But I never did. All cities I visited during the trip exceeded my expectations. I could have stayed more nights in Montepulciano.Guest review bymoha fazelNetherlands - 8.0

a nice town with an old part behind the walls. lots of greenery, parking lots and bars, walking paths and restaurants.During the day, we walked around Okpliška, in the evening we came to the city for dinner and to the accommodation to rest. we ate at pizzeria Rosso vivo. I have never had a better pizza, the price was not too high either. The food at La Torretta was also very tasty.Guest review byAlešSlovenia
