The architecture is totally stunning, wherever you look.
The architecture is totally stunning, wherever you look. If you fly in, I recommemnd taking the Alilaguna Boat from the airport (Marco Polo) to Piazza San Marco, but one way only. Take a bus back to the airport, not the boat. It's much quickerGuest review byMelford - 10.0
Verona is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever...
Verona is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited. It is steeped in so much history, so much of which is visible by walking around the old town (definitely book onto a walking tour). Skip Juliet's balcony for a walk up to Castel San Pietro and soak up the breathtaking views. There are so many restaurants, bars, gelaterias and cafes - practically on every corner - meaning you're spoilt for choice. Great for shopping, too. It's a city that really has everything - wonderful views, wonderful food, wonderful people. We spent some time walking along the various bridges and along the river in the autumn sun, which was superbly relaxing and delightful. It was busy when we visited in late September, but never felt 'overly busy'. We're eager to return!Guest review byEmmaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It's a great location if you have a car.
It's a great location if you have a car. Staying on the T1 tram line was an easy and quick way of travelling into Venice with the service running frequently. Access to a local cafe, butcher and deli. Felt like we were part of the community.Guest review bySusanAustralia - 10.0

College town with nice squares, historic buildings, museums and university without all the tourists. No big tourist groups or buses. Felt more like a real livable city with a local community. Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable relative to the more popular tourist locations.Guest review byDR Ron GUnited States - 10.0

just behind the hotel is a strip where all the bars, shops , restaurants are located. they all appeared to be of a very high standard. great beer options. food is made to a very good standard. We went into John Martins , Mary's , Route 66 and theB. live music venue. drink and food prices reasonable. the beach is sunbeds cheek by jowl, but the hotel alocates sunbeds. very safe beach and warm meditteranian sea. use insect bite cream though due to the lagoon location.Guest review bymartinUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Peschiera is a lively town at the edge of Lake Garda.
Peschiera is a lively town at the edge of Lake Garda. It has lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It offers easy access to boat trips, walks and cycle-paths, as well as other lakeside towns. It is ideal for trips further afield as the express trains stop here, allowing day-trip access to Brescia, Verona, Milan and VeniceGuest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino.
Really enjoyed staying in Bardolino. Plenty of shops and spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants. It’s quite busy even late September and I wouldn’t want to go during the peak summer months for this reason but also the heat.Guest review byJeannetteUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's not the cheapest town in the area, and not every place has the same high standards. Lots of Olympic construction going on, both in town and all around, so watch out for delays and possible noise. But you'll get over that once you smell the air and see the views. This is the Alsager then someGuest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 2.0

Marghera is an ugly, industrial port city close to Venice. Nobody travels to that region to see Marghera, obviously Venice is the attraction. Our cruise was departing and returning to Marghera. This is why we stayed there.Guest review byBolshoi_HuiBritish Virgin Islands - 10.0
