- From US$191.96 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 347 reviewsThis is the best place we have ever stayed. You don’t need to look anywhere else in Vulcano. The location is unmatched with a direct view of the volcano and you’re also right next to the beach. The staff are amazing, we felt sad to leave them because they were so friendly and accommodating, we genuinely miss them and we can’t wait to go back and see them again. They made the experience of staying in Vulcano special and they will always have a place in our hearts. I am gluten free, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was catered for, I’ve never stayed anywhere before that take it so seriously and make sure you don’t miss out on anything. The staff have left such an impact on us in a way that has never happened before.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
- From US$88.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 474 reviewsFairly spartan in terms of amenities, but nevertheless just what we were looking for: that retro Italian seaside vibe. Staff were excellent. Super convenient for the volcano hike, mud baths and hot bubbling sea (all officially closed when we visited though that didn't seem to stop people sneaking in (or up) under cover of darkness. October is lowish season but the Faraglione bar/restaurant was buzzing throughout the day and really came alive in the evening. Wonderful atmosphere.Guest review bySimonItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.1Good - What previous guests thought, 205 reviewsBecause of a "plumbing issue" we were rebooked to "Mari del Sud" Resort. From the outside it looked like the neighbouring Hotel Garden has shut down forever. So we got a free Upgrade, thank you for that. Special thanks to the extremely lovely and helpful staff at Mari del Sud, who made us enjoy our stay even more: Valentina, another young gentlemen whose name i didnt catch unfortunately but who was very helpful arranging a boattour and Ygoro.Guest review byStefanAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 214 reviewsStaff were extremely brilliant. We were welcomed by Roberta. For breakfast Julia was simply fantastic as she spoke and understood little English. She prepared vegan coffee and served us with vegan milk for tea coffee. Pedro at reception was also very helpful. The resort grounds were fragrant with Jasmine and rosemary. Our room was comfortable There was ample space in the bathroom drawers to store our products. - From US$88.87 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 103 reviewsWe were very surprised by the quality of the furnishings, particularly the bathroom, which was brand-new and comfortable. Allhough we chose the smallest room, it was big enough to fit three people comfortably. The balcony was great for an evening chill. After seing the rest of the harbour area we agreed that the location couldn't be better. The owner responded flexibly and was very helpful with storing the luggage before the check-in.Guest review byJoannaPoland
- From US$85.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 420 reviewsEverything! Such a warm welcome. We arrived in bad weather and were offered a warm drink. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and pristine (it smells lovely as the hotel has it's own fragrance). It is set in a lush garden with a gorgeous pool. We were picked up and helped with our luggage. We ate in the restaurant every night as the food was absolutely delicious!!! We are still thinking about our amazing stay and would love to return!Guest review bySerenaSwitzerland

Incredible wee island.
Incredible wee island. Loved that you could cycle everywhere easily, there were lots of mini adventures to be had e.g. Vulcanello crater, snokelling, Monte Saraceno, Capo Grillo viewpoint & of course the Vulcano crater hike. Lots of great places to eat, cute, off the beaten track feel. We loved how quiet everywhere was in October.Guest review bykatherineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I love Volcano.
I love Volcano. The relaxed, laid-back atmosphere has brought me back half a dozen times and it never fails to delight. Sadly Maurizio's restaurant is no longer in operation but there are still some other places to eat that don't disappoint. Walking up the volcano is always fun, though they have restricted access to the zone of the fumaroles now, and the mud-pools have been closed completely. I was told this is because they have got too hot. We also went to visit the cat colony who are situated on Vulcanello, and was pleased to see that they have been moved to more comfortable quarters. Swimming in the sea - especially where it's sprinkled with hot bubbles - is always a delight. The Spiaggia Nera (black-sand beach) has not hot bubbles but is really pleasant. My only gripe with Vulcano (and the whole of Sicily) is that there is too much litter everywhere. It could really do with a good clean-up. The friendly, relaxed people go a long way towards making up for it ... maybe if they weren't so relaxed they would organise some clean-ups!Guest review byWendy TeasdillUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Spiaggia delle Acque Calde is a must-go place, probably...
The Spiaggia delle Acque Calde is a must-go place, probably the only place in the world with sulphuric gas coming out from the seabed to warm the water like a natural jacuzzi. The mudpool next to it is also very good, it might look dirty from outside but once you are in it, it gets less smelly of sulphur and you feel like having a caffe latte bath!Guest review byRWUnited Kingdom
