- From US$64.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 977 reviewsFirstly, Madaba is also a great location to explore Jordan, but the hotel was right in the heart of the town, with a lot of parking spaces, just a few meters from the main attractions and shopping streets. The room looked like on the picture, it was clean. The room can be heated so the hotel is a good choice in cold months too. The staff was very very friendly and helpful, Omar, the manager, gave a lot of great tips during our 5 day stay, because we had to change our programme due to weather conditions, we could ask from him when we had questions. (The waiters of the hotel’s restaurant were also excellent.) The breakfast was also tasty, we enjoyed the food (cold and warm meals), in our opinion it is a great idea to serve traditional jordanian food. Everything was wonderful, we would happily return! + the view is great from the rooftop restaurantGuest review byVirág AlicjaHungary

I wish we could have stayed longer if it weren't for the airlines throwing a wrench in our itinerary. You can thank Air France for that. Salome Hotel is in the midst of building a pool which will be ready in a month! I highly recommend this hotel for couples.Guest review byLynleCanada

Madaba is world famous for its ancient mosaics and its modern day mosaic school and workshops. If you want to see a mosaic, go to Madaba. Furthermore there are some very good and well priced restaurants.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow.
The Mujib is for people who want to wind down and go slow. The place needs some attention and could use a coat of paint and some general maintenance. The staff are very nice, but why are there no women working there? Overall we would recommend Mujib Chalets. The site is so beautiful and the Dead Sea so weird that there is no place like it.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The tourist part with St John the Baptist church, visitor centre, museum and burnt palace etc is easy to explore and plenty of eateries too. Shop keepers are helpful and don't hassle you much. Easy to take a taxi to Mount Nebo, and I also enjoyed Bethany beyond the Jordan (where John the Baptist did his work), which takes a bit longer as you get bussed from the visitor reception to the river. It was amazing to look across the river to Israel where someone was being baptised. The Dead Sea and Hot Springs are also within reach, but not sure how it works with all the 4star hotels along the edge. Yellow taxis plentiful. If it's cold in Madaba (I was there in early March and they had a cold spell) the good news is its warm at the Dead Sea and the hot springs are wonderfully warm.Guest review byLesleyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We almost skipped Madaba as we wanted to spend more time in Petra and Wadi Rum but were so glad we went and could have spent more time. Besides the incredible mosaics, there are Roman ruins and underground spaces that were fun to explore plus this had some of the best shopping we saw and we regretted not having more time to browse. With its Byzantine history Madaba feels different than the other cities in Jordan and is well worth the visit.Guest review byAprilUnited States
