- From US$171.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 514 reviewsWe loved our stay by the sea. Our expectations were exceeded several times: the room had a marvelous view (even though we booked a standard room), the staff was extremely helpful, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was definitely the best we had during our 5-week-journey in Japan. They even prepared a special menu for vegetarian travelers! Along the free transfers to/from the port the offer a complimentary ride to the nearby Aharen beach, which turned out to be great for snorkeling. Nevertheless, we absolutely recommend renting snorkeling gear at the hotel beach (Tokoshiku beach) too and then head to the northern (right) side of the bay - the underworld views are breathtaking. Above all, we were lucky to see 3 sea turtles!Guest review byAtteFinland

Felt like part of a family there with breakfast provided and a cute doggo ☺️ they were very helpful picking us up from the port, driving us to a beach and upgrading our room to a bigger one for our family. Comfortable futons and lovely Japanese style rooms. Everything in town is walking distance including the main beach. What a fantastic place 😍Guest review byWesleyCanada

During our stay all ferries were canceled due bad sea conditions, and the hotel staff help us with a half price stay while we could leave the island.Guest review byPabloSpain

Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.Guest review byHorakova - 8.0

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.Guest review byPaulaCanada - 10

Akemi was such a wonderful host.. she picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on our return back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even has a restaurant close by and another food spot by Ama beach where we were able to get food and snacks. She served delicious, authentic food at her restaurant and I think she was also the chef! Will definitely stay here again!Guest review byArleneUnited States - 10
Zamami is quiet and very natural.
Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The Mexican truck was a great place for lunch (no reservations needed).Guest review byjacqueline - 10

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world. Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural. Beautiful white sand and blue sea. Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtlesGuest review byChristopherJapan - 6.0

The local authorities definitely need to figure out these two obvious issues including the overprice to tourists and the depression of local residents. Local people are super reluctant to do businesses like always closed restaurants and rude shop owner in furuzamami beach.Guest review by鲁西西China - 10
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.Guest review byJarrodUnited Kingdom
