- From US$434.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,011 reviewsMy family spent a total 4 nights at The Art Hotel Osaka Bay, 1 night in a Triple Room and 3 nights in a Quadruple. Connected to the JR Bentenchō Station along the Osaka Loop line, it was our best choice due to its proximity to Universal Studios Japan. But being on the Osaka Loop Line means all the other tourist attractions are easily accessible. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. We loved the simple interior and there was enough space for all our luggage, 6 of them! We were given rooms on the 23rd and 24th floors and we enjoyed fantastic views of the Osaka skyline! Toiletries are provided as in most of Japanese hotels. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The toilet and bath are separate which is good. The staff are courteous and helpful. Outside the hotel's 2nd floor are restaurants, cafes, Burger King, shops, a convenience store and a drug store. I would love to try their breakfast at the 51st floor and the famous Solaniwa Onsen next time. The room rates are also good value. We booked at Booking.com and found a really good bargain. Truly, we had a nice stay at the Art Hotel Osaka Bay Tower. Will stay again when in Osaka area.Guest review byJP_VannPhilippines
- From US$245.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 3,861 reviewsThe Granvia is a comfortable and well run hotel located inside Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is an architectural landmark and always a pleasure to see. It is also a transportation hub for busses, subways, and local train service, essential for visiting the far flung attractions of Kyoto. This was our fourth stay in this hotel. The hotel concierge service is exceptional, and I communicated frequently with my concierge contact, Saori, long before the start of the trip to arrange restaurants, and tourist visits. When she realized that we were interested in fusuma (Japanese sliding door painting), she located and identified a number of temples that were open only at very limited times, and that were not mentioned in any guidebooks.Guest review byMarcUnited States

Even though one could say compared to any other time in the past that the city is really full of tourists, the local seem to understand and have adjusted. I think it’s obvious that it looks different than most cities in Japan making It forever a cool place to go.Guest review byMatthewJapan - 10.0

Kobe is a great city to visit. A vibrant, buzzing and cosmopolitan city with memorable features such as the ropeway to the herb garden at the JR Shin Kobe Station at Sannomiya (an absolute must for visitors), the Maya cable car and ropeway and the Akashi bridge to Awaji Island.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0
Nara is beautiful.
Nara is beautiful. There are two UNESCO world heritage sites and lots of deer. If you are afraid of animals, I don't recommend it. The deer will follow you if you have food and they may try to take it from you if you hesitate or don't gently push them away. They are not, as a general rule, aggressive. A lot of tourists freak out and just throw their crackers. Don't do that. Stay calm. The deer don't want to hurt you, they just want a snack. They don't care for being pet either. Just snap your crackers (200 yen sold at different stands) into 3-4 pieces, hold out your hand flat and let them take it from you. Be aware of how many are around you. They will surround and nibble your clothing. I found this hilarious. I grew up with cows and they will pretty much do the same thing. Use your voice and be gentle. The one day bus pass is really useful. I wish I had more time in Nara.Guest review bySarahUnited States - 10.0

We only stayed one night when we arrived as we needed a place to recharge and freshen up before we head to Kyoto. The hotel is very nice with complete amenities in the room. The room we occupied has the view of the airport runway but we never heard any noise coming from the airplanes arriving and taking off. A bit expensive but it was worth it. Breakfast buffet was very good too.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Himeji is obviously very famous for its castle, but other than that lacks many things to do. I found my time there to be rather boring, and we often struggled to find activities to fill our nights with. We used Himeji as a central location to take day trips from - since we booked during Golden Week, hotel prices in more ideal areas, such as Kobe, were heavily inflated and unreasonable.Guest review byJacob - 10.0

We are Americans so we had really little knowledge of Shirahama as a resort city. It was at the tail end of a 3 week tour of Japan and was very restful. Fortunately, we were there after Golden Week and before the main tourist season, so it was quiet and relaxing. We had fun over two nights at a local Turkish restaurant, Blue Bar. We'd recommend it. Also, the beach seemed quite nice although we had one day or rain so we didn't hang out there. While this wouldn't be a regular stop for Americans, I think it is worthwhile and an easy train ride to the airport in Osaka.Guest review byAndrew - 10.0
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns.
One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!Guest review byCerysUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The scenic mountains near the city offers stunning sunset views. The Sakura were in full bloom. There are several parks around the city, and the impressive Wakayama castle. The hotel (Candeo Hotels Nankai) is great value - fantastic river views, rooftop onsen that you can enjoy the sunset. And right at the Wakayama Station. Good dining options around the hotel too.Guest review byKwokSingapore - 10.0

We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.Guest review byRizki Dwi KelimutuIndonesia
