- From US$327.72 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,333 reviewsThis is the place to stay if you want to take advantage of all that Miyajima has to offer. They have a bus shuttle service from the train station to the hotel, but even if you don't use it, the hotel is still within walking distance of the train station/ferry. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds, with quite an interesting bedside console to control all the lights and the aircon. Lovely view from the balcony as well and very helpful staff. The Japanese restaurant within the hotel also served delicious food! Sadly, I didn't have time to check out the pool and the onsen, but hopefully I will have the opportunity to do so next time.Guest review byAlexandraRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,208 reviewsThis Ryokan was an amazing experience. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. They were ok with my different demands, which included sending my luggage with the transport bus to the Ryokan without me (since I wanted to see Miyajima before dinner) and asking for a bike to rent and then have it ready to use at 6am so I could go visit the temple before breakfast. Beyond that the Japanese room was wonderful with an amazing view of the beach, food was also 10/10 traditional Japanese course. I will definitely stay here again if I visit the island next time I visit Japan.Guest review byEsteban Gaete FloresChile
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 702 reviewsThe staff were warm and welcoming, the room, bathroom and onsen facilities were immaculate and the food was the highlight. This was one of the most serene places I’ve ever visited, I fell asleep hearing a little stream outside my room and a casual garden stroll in the walking trail close to the ryokan gave me a scenic close encounter with the local deer. Highly recommend booking your stay to include dinner and breakfast to experience the culinary tradition of the region.Guest review byAlyannaUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,202 reviewsWe felt like home. The staffs are nice and gave us very clear instructions and showed us around the property. The guest house is quiet though central located. Just a few minutes walk to the shrine and the sea. We followed the Google map and walked along the seaside and it’s not difficult to find. We met few friendly deers along the way near the guest house. We will returned soon to revisit this lovely island.Guest review bywhHong Kong
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 442 reviewsAway from the crowds - definitely one of the best hotels of our stay in Japan. The room was spacious and very well equipped. All you need after a great day outside Miayajima is your yukata, your basket full of bath products to chill and relax in the onsen. Amazing japanese breakfast awaits you downstairs in the morning. Bonus : prepare yourself, the onsen is unbelievable!Guest review byChloéFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 914 reviewsAway from the bustle of the main street which means you would have to be ready to walk a bit more or take a island can if you are not calling the hotel to pick you. If you know how to contact them for pick up, it'll be great!! For the price you pay, it's great value as it comes with dinner and breakfast. Both meals were 9/10!Guest review byChungSingapore

The staff in the restaurant were fantastic with our 2 year old. The hotel is very family friendly. It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It was my second trip to Miyajima island.
It was my second trip to Miyajima island. The first time I only travelled their with my wife and we did not stay in any accommodation. I left back on the ferry same day feeling that I had to eventually return. I was able to do that and I loved every moment. It's an island I would consider going back too again and staying over again. The island offers so much. For those that want heritage and history, tick. For those that want a close encounter with a deers, tick. For those who love calm beaches or mountains, tick. For those that want experiences with friendly locals, tick. Those wanting to do shopping, especially souveniours, tick. For those who want physical activity, the walking trails up the mountain are a definite tick. I could go on, but, for so many reasons I love and would highly recommend travel to Miyajima.Guest review byAdamAustralia - 10.0
Miyajima is simply magical!
Miyajima is simply magical! From the moment you step off the ferry, you’re surrounded by stunning natural beauty, peaceful shrines, and the famous floating torii gate—it truly feels like stepping into a sacred, timeless world. One of the most enchanting parts of the island was wandering through the smaller shrines tucked into the forest, where rows of little Buddha statues wear hand-knitted red hats and bibs. There’s something incredibly touching and serene about them—like the whole island is wrapped in quiet reverence. Add in the friendly deer, delicious street food (don’t miss the grilled oysters and momiji manju!), and the breathtaking views from Mount Misen, and Miyajima easily became one of our favorite places in Japan. I didn’t want to leave!Guest review byMichelleNew Zealand
