- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,581 reviewsAmazing service in a structure that think about you from the first to the last minute, from the transportation from/to the ferry terminal to the onsen introduction (should be ok for tattooed people too). Our room with Torii view was stunning, in japanese traditional style but with all necessary technologies and big tv. The dinner (all oysters) was good quality, but don't worry if you don't like them, they re gonna contact you and ask if you want to change with another menu. Perfectly clean, the position is a bit "up" the village but 2 minutes from the area to be visited, and no problem for arrival and departure, as mentioned. For the onsen they give you lovely yukata and all other accessories. The price is correct for this service.Guest review byCiminoItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,201 reviewsIt was all AMAZING. The property is a little older but in a very good way (very nostalgic for me). Such good vibes in the lobby and the room was beautiful with a big window looking out over the water. I had never before had kaizeki in my room in this way, or had public onsen, and this experience was absolutely fantastic. The food was very good both at dinner and for breakfast. The bedding was comfortable. I have no complaints and every compliment!Guest review byErinUnited States

We got the stay with dinner and breakfast and was an excellent choice! The food was outstanding and well done with fresh products. Also the place was very well located. Quiet at night the room is spacious and with nice views, very clean!. Strongly recommended.Guest review byCristinaDenmark
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 908 reviewsAway from the bustle of the main street which means you would have to be ready to walk a bit more or take a island can if you are not calling the hotel to pick you. If you know how to contact them for pick up, it'll be great!! For the price you pay, it's great value as it comes with dinner and breakfast. Both meals were 9/10!Guest review byChungSingapore

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It was my second trip to Miyajima island.
It was my second trip to Miyajima island. The first time I only travelled their with my wife and we did not stay in any accommodation. I left back on the ferry same day feeling that I had to eventually return. I was able to do that and I loved every moment. It's an island I would consider going back too again and staying over again. The island offers so much. For those that want heritage and history, tick. For those that want a close encounter with a deers, tick. For those who love calm beaches or mountains, tick. For those that want experiences with friendly locals, tick. Those wanting to do shopping, especially souveniours, tick. For those who want physical activity, the walking trails up the mountain are a definite tick. I could go on, but, for so many reasons I love and would highly recommend travel to Miyajima.Guest review byAdamAustralia - 10.0
Miyajima is simply magical!
Miyajima is simply magical! From the moment you step off the ferry, you’re surrounded by stunning natural beauty, peaceful shrines, and the famous floating torii gate—it truly feels like stepping into a sacred, timeless world. One of the most enchanting parts of the island was wandering through the smaller shrines tucked into the forest, where rows of little Buddha statues wear hand-knitted red hats and bibs. There’s something incredibly touching and serene about them—like the whole island is wrapped in quiet reverence. Add in the friendly deer, delicious street food (don’t miss the grilled oysters and momiji manju!), and the breathtaking views from Mount Misen, and Miyajima easily became one of our favorite places in Japan. I didn’t want to leave!Guest review byMichelleNew Zealand
