The size of the room is big and spacious. There is a kitchen area where there is fridge, microwave, kettle, sink and hob. But to use the hob to cook, you will need to rent the kitchen utensils at a reasonable price of ¥550 for 3 days. The bathroom area is big too as I love the washing machine and dryer. The dryer is very efficient and powerful as it takes less time to dry the clothes as compared to other dryers. Many parking space for this hotel so no worries at all. Very comfortable hotel room and strongly recommended!

A bit of a wild combination, traditional japanese-style rooms in a british-style hotel with Italian kitchen. Works out really well though. The staff is incredibly helpful and attentive. Feels very posh to visit, though i guess for the price you pay that is to be expected. The rentable private rotenburo is great, although mosquitoes can be annoying. The indoor ofuro is great as well, and there is a yukata available in each room.

An Unexpected Gem in Saga: My Stay at HOTEL fah I discovered this hidden gem in Saga City during a business trip that brought me from Incheon. While the city offers numerous accommodation options, I specifically needed a spacious room for my extended stay. HOTEL fah surprised me in the most delightful ways. The hotel's proximity to the station is its first major advantage, though initially, I had some trouble locating it due to Google Maps' somewhat unclear directions. The convenience of having a well-stocked supermarket at the station proved invaluable during my stay. The room itself exceeded my expectations. Being a newly opened establishment, everything was pristine and new. I particularly appreciated their choice of MUJI products throughout the room, which added a touch of minimalist elegance. The in-room microwave was a practical addition that I used frequently. The attention to cleanliness was impressive – the housekeeping team maintained impeccable standards throughout my stay. What makes this property unique is the innovative combination of a barbershop and café on the ground floor, creating a lively atmosphere from morning till night. This vibrant setup contributed to the hotel's welcoming ambiance. When I needed to extend my stay, the staff was remarkably accommodating and helpful in arranging the additional night. The peaceful environment and comfortable setting made it an ideal place for productivity – I managed to complete a significant amount of work during my stay. The blend of convenience, comfort, and professional service makes HOTEL fah a standout choice in Saga City. Special thanks to HOTEL fah for providing such a comfortable home away from home. This establishment truly understands the needs of both business and leisure travelers

Everything. The cute and comfy yukata. The traditional Japanese style room had a nice retro vibe, with a traditional low table and sliding doors separating the main room from the small one with the river view. This was a wonderful stay and the Japanese-styled room was comfortable for three of us. We loved the traditional welcome of helpful friendliness informing us that we should catch the shuttle bus to the mountain onsen in time to make it down for dinner. Lovely! I am always concerned about inconveniencing the chef with my gluten-free food needs. It took some pre-communication and effort, but I really wanted my friends to experience the traditional kaiseki experience which is difficult (not possible) to provide as gluten-free in many ryokan. The staff and chef were able to provide kaiseki to my friends and for me a non-traditional meal which was exceptionally wonderful! I am forever thankful for their care and effort in making the meals and onsen a wonderful experience. There are several onsen choices. In the morning, my friends went to the larger one which they said felt like being in a forest, and I went to the smaller lower-level one with pond, Koi and waterfall. The evening mountain onsen was truly a treat and I only wish I knew in advance to allow more time, but we were able to do a nice soak before dinner. This was one of the best ryokan experiences I have had and I would certainly return. My Japanese friends agreed. We didn't see much of the town, but we would go back for that as well since it looked like an interesting stroll. Many other nearby attractions from important shrines, tea fields, and lovely pottery kiln town of Hasami to the Arita porcelain towns and museums as well. Top experience!

I was hesitant to book this resort initially as there was only 1 recent review when I booked, and the older reviews of the original hotel were not that good. However, I decided to take a chance and I'm so glad I did!!! The resort is newly renovated and all the furnishings and decor are all very clean and new. The resort location was ideal as I wanted to be located near Mifuneyama Rakuen so I could go see the Autumn colours at night (only 6 min drive away). The facilities on the resort were fantastic.... the spa pool required swimsuits which the resort thoughtfully prepared for each guest, all packed in individual tote bags. The hot spring pool was a a bit small, but the resort was not packed when we stayed, so there were no other people around when we used the spa pool or hot spring. But what impressed me the most has to be the amazing service we received. Most of the staff did not speak English or could only speak minimal English, but they always tried their best to understand our needs, and made us feel so comfortable. The staff's dedication and service quality are top-notch. The food was so amazing as well (The sukiyaki dinner and Japanese breakfast included in the stay were so good!)

The staff could not have been more helpful. I had a medical issue and a lady at reception arranged help for me. The hotel is only about an 8 minute walk from Imari Station where the Fukuoka Showa Bus also arrives and departs. There is a lovely Izakaya (pub) right next to the hotel car park and an Aeon supermarket nearby. The best thing is their buffet breakfast. A large choice of freshly prepared food with menu specials that change daily. There is a coffee and soft drink bar in the lobby. You can catch a train on the Matsuura Railway line from Imari to Arita but there is only one per hour. It is only a 15 minute bus ride to the pottery village of Okawachiyama but use the timetable outside Imari Station to plan your trip. Only ¥200 each way.

It was an exceptional stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the use of the space, combining both modern and traditional aesthetics. There were several little nooks that added surprise as we slowly discovered them at our own pace. We were delighted with the showcase of local ceramics and tea, and the welcome tea started us on our little tea journey, the start of a relaxing two days spent here. There was plenty of seating all around the ryokan, to relax, to wait, to medidate, to just stare into nature… A big thank you to all the staff we met, from the station pick up to the small conversations at breakfast. Looking forward to visit again at a different season to experience it anew.

Everything is PERFECT, beyound our expectations. We have visited Japan serveral times and have stayed in Ryokan before but Yoyokaku is one of the best Ryokan we have experienced. This Ryokan has history and its super beautiful in every corners. We did not booked half board and we regreted it. We only had breakfasts and that were exceptional good. I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.

Ureshino is famous for the green tea and the onsen. The Ureshino Tea Exchange musuem is 100% worth a visit and don't forget to drink a tea in the cafe! It is amazing quality and very cheap (300 yen for 1 tea) Then I would also recommend Fuji restaurant, they make great Okonomiyake, Yakisoba and many more dishes! Staff is amazing! If you have a car drive up to the mountain to visit the tea fields, 100 % worth it!

I did an overnight trip to Takeo, and it was great - the Takeo shrine and Public library are right next to each other, and both are worth the visit. I also went to an onsen the following morning and that was a great experience. The town seems very easily walkable, and is a great stop between Fukuoka and Nagasaki.

One of the most comfortable places we have stayed in, in a very long time. Spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers, snacks on arrival. Clean, beyond comparison. This is not a place to stay if you want city life. It is a super quiet village. The observatory behind the house is one of the best cherry blossom destinations we have been to. We spent 2 hours there and we were the only people on the mountain. Spectacular.

We loved being able to visit some of the kilns and see how the porcelain is made. As well as showrooms, some makers had museums showing older pieces of their work. The Kyushu Ceramic Museum had fabulous pieces on display and good explanations on the processes involved. The locals were very friendly and helpful and pleased to have visitors interested in their porcelain.

Massage, etc facilities on site. 2 - Town is cute with lots of ceramics everywhere for great instagram moments. 3 - MUST go up to the Okawachiyama pottery village - take the back roads, as they are beautiful. 15 minute or less drive, 1 hour bike ride or so.
