- From US$534.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,845 reviewsI had a 2 night stay in Konanso. The staff is very welcoming and polite, maybe it helps that i speak Japanese. However, they also speak English. Rooms are spacious, clean and with wonderful views. There is a person in charge of your stay that will bring you dinner each night and ask if you need anything. Dinner served at the bedroom is delicious, and the onsen is gorgeous. Would recommend 10/10. Breakfast is also excellent, with western and japanese food.Guest review byJuanUruguay
- From US$206 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 405 reviewsPerfect location. It was amazing to be so close to this beautiful mountain and watch it changing throughout the day. The onsens both have the best views. One has a sauna and mist room and ice cold plunge pools. Rooms very comfortable with views of the mountain. The reception staff were amazing and helped us navigate the bus booking to Tokyo. Book ahead for dinner. All meals were very good.Guest review byYvonneAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 470 reviewsThe view of mount Fuji from the apartment was just breathtaking, and the apartment itself was super cosy. The owner is available next door and met us to give us the keys and cooking essentials for our short stay, so that we didn't need to buy oil, salt, etc. She also insisted to accompany us to the bus stop by car since it was raining, overall just super kindGuest review byJacopoItaly

The property is huge and plenty of space for my kid and my friend's kid to run around. The Location is quite remote, around 10 10-minute drive to the nearby town. There is no convenient shops or food stores nearby. The nearest Family Mart is an 18-minute walk away.Guest review byGIN FAIMalaysia

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.5Good - What previous guests thought, 35 reviewsFor a single room it was fairly spacious compared to other single rooms I've had before. The whole bathroom is higher which is a little weird but not a problem, maybe if you're elderly this would be an issue, otherwise the room was fine, comfy bed.Guest review byKellyAustralia

We were able to take great pictures of Mt Fuji from our window. The onsen and buffet was great. The price was affordable for a group of 8 with free breakfast and dinner. The room was clean and Yukata was included. Highly recommendedGuest review byMiyoUnited States - 10.0
I recommend staying.
I recommend staying. I wrote a long review separately which I hope is useful; please refer to that. In addition, for young children, you can visit the sheep shed where they keep the sheep to see sheep up close, wander down and the up the hill behind reception, and get the best tasting soft serve ever from the restaurant!Guest review byDavinosJapan - 10.0

Lake Yamanaka is such a pretty place - Mt. Fuji never showed her face during our stay for the icon lake photos but it didn’t take away from the magic. The little town just 20 mins away by bus from our domes was super cute, filled with history, culture, and more shopping.Guest review byElizabethUnited States - 8.0

We really enjoyed the place, but it was a bit dead midweek. There were some tourists, but not very many. It was good to have a car to explore. We went to -Kofu Castle Ruins (peak bloom time!) -Yamanashi Fruit Park -Maglev Exhibition Center We ate at -TREE Anthony's Kitchen (AMAZING Greek Food) -Kaosen Thai (eh)Guest review byPena - 10.0
Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination,...
Hokuto is a bit of an off-the-beaten-track destination, perfect for a weekend or even 3 or four days. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it's a great place for hikers - since it's located at the base of the Yatsugatake mountain range. The adventurers can go explore the hiking trails and waterfalls, but also there are charming cafes, art galleries and international cuisine restaurants splattered in the area. I would avoid going there by car on a Saturday morning, because the Chuo Express Road gets packed and it may take up to six hours to get there from Tokyo (the normal is 2 hours). So if you can, go on a weekday.Guest review byVillageOneJapan - 10.0
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect.
Everything about Fujikawaguchiko is just perfect. Nice town, beautiful view of Mt Fuji. For an outdoor enthusiast, this town is perfect. It got mountains, nice enough for day hike. it got caves, lakes, old tunnel turn into a museum, ropeway, halal restaurant. I just love Fujikawaguchiko and its beauty.Guest review byZelaMalaysia - 10.0

We stayed for just one night to have the amazing view and cheaper hostel prices. One night in yamanakako, one night in kawaguchico, is perfect. Yamanakako is quieter and less touristy, which is exactly what we wanted. However, the bus schedule limits how many places you can go cuz they come every 1 hrGuest review byLiCanada - 10.0

If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. Incredibly serene and quieter than areas like Hakone. ( Hakone is VERY beautiful but tons of tourist)Guest review byElianaUnited States - 10.0
The place was amazing.
The place was amazing. The people of Fujikawaguchiko were friendly and helpful. The landscape and nature was beautiful. From biking around the lake, walking to the waterfall and hiking on the trails it was wonderful. Although tourists ourselves, I wish those visiting would be better examples to the countries they represent.Guest review byHeidiAustralia
