We were about a 15 minute Tuk Tuk drive away from Angkor Wat, making it easy to access for our sunrise. I was pleasantly surprised to find two swimming pools and a gym which enhanced our stay as there was something to do during the hot, hot afternoons in March when viewing the temples would have been too much for us. Breakfast was simple but more than enough, buffet style with a made to order choice of eggs, rice, noodles, etc. The room was cleaned twice a day! We came to Siem Reap because we were volunteering in a nearby village. The city is quite pleasant. We went right after the rainy season, which was great to avoid the heat and the crowds of tourists. We took a tour to Angkor Wat. We went on Saturday just before closing to see the sunset, and this allowed us to use the same ticket to enter again the next morning. I had an excellent stay at Angkor Home 27th! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. I especially loved the location — just a short walk to the city center but still peaceful and quiet. The complimentary breakfast, and swimming pool was a nice touch. Temples amazing. Well worth booking group sunrise tour to Angkor Wat due to the knowledge of the guide. Visit mine clearing rat centre (APOPO). Ten dollar entry fee well worth the money.
