I came to this hotel and slept so comfortably for as long as 9 hours. It was convenient because there were three different Japanese restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Korean restaurants, and Western restaurants in the hotel. The price is also good and luxurious. There are two bottles of bottled water in the refrigerator, and coffee, green tea tea bags, and kettles in the drawer under the table. There are two luxury gowns in the market. The downside is that the outlet is not next to the bed and under the bedside table. And after the shower, water flows out of the washroom outside the shower room. My mother had cold fever and the lovely receptionist raised the room/floor temperature, so we slept very warm. The breakfast buffet was excellent considering the room price. Mokpo and the area is amazing. Lots of things to see and do. It is an area for driving as things are spread out, but lots to do and see in town with some great restaurants. Museums are good and touring the islands is a must do! Mokpo is a growing area that has much to offer. It isn't Seoul, but it is on one of the most picturesque regions of Korea. Take a day to travel the islands to the West, then another day South, then explore the mountains to the East. I travelled from Seoul to Boseong specifically to visit the green tea fields. While the journey from Gwangju to Boseong took longer than expected, I still had ample time at the green tea fields (approx 3hrs). I then travelled some distance to stay off the beaten path at the Traditional Korean House (on a private green tea plantation). Day 2, I returned to Seoul via Train from Boseong to Gwangju and KTX from Gwangju to Seoul. A great weekend away. Great if you like seafood because there were few places that offered other than seafood. Most of city opens or comes alive after five pm. Suncheon is an unassuming town that has quote a few things worth seeing and doing, some take up quite a bit of time due to the activity itself and/or travel to and from the required location (eg wetlands and Yonsan Observatory, and Nagan Eupseong Folk Village). It's also got a lovely river worth walking or cycling along and they have the World Garden Expo on at present. You may wish to go ziplining and/or on a cable car ride, so the Geumosan Mountain Zip Wire near Jingyo is well worth the journey.
