- From US$367 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsWhen we arrived we were met by a pleasant personnel, serving warm cloths and tea. The english knowledge of the staff was wonderful, and they were super helpful and they did all they could to make us feel welcomed during the whole stay. Moreover, the hotel is not only a hotel, it’s also a tea factory and a museum. It was a very unique experience, we would definitely recommend it for everyone coming to Nuwara Eliya wanting a real experience in the tea making progress. We will come back!Guest review byMelishaNorway
- From US$313.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 377 reviewsthis hotel is must see if you are travelling in Nuwara-Eliya. Heritage building with a great history, beautifull interiors, old photos in holls, hidden bar rooms etc... we spent couple of hours to explore the hotel. Stuff is very friendly and one of manager even made a small excursion for us while we were waiting. Welcome hot soup was what we needed cz at night is quite chilly outside. The restaurant was pretty delisious and our servant Antony made our dinner even better.Guest review byКатерина Л.China
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 265 reviewsIncredible experience in Nuwara Eliya! Good location and just nearby the famous Grand Hotel and Victoria Park and has a path to visit. Hill Club is a historical building and worth you spend one-hour to walk around and insight. Room is comfortable, breakfast is good, price-performance ratio is better than Grand Hotel as you can spend high tea and visit the garden there from Hill Club. Staff is kind and helpful. Highly Recommended!Guest review byYUANChina

Besides doing the incredibly beautiful hike to Adams Peak, you can hire a tuktuk driver to guide you to Morey's Waterfall. the best waterfall we got to hike to in Sri lanka, challenging 1 hour hike but you'll get to stroll thru lush tea plantations and walk along side Lake Morey.Guest review byRobertson - 8.0

A nice area to do a lot of treks amongst the tea plantations . central location if you need to drive up to hill station of Nuwera Eliya or experience the wild life at Horton Plains, A lot of Hindu Kovils to explore in town of Hatton and Tea Factory experience at Dunkeld Tea Factory.Guest review byAkramSri Lanka - 8.0

Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.Guest review byVindhyaSri Lanka - 8.0
If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local...
If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local experience, NanuOya is a good town to visit. It’s very close to the main tourist town Nuwara Eliya (approx 9km away) and has buses heading there every 20mins. You can also get there by train. The locals are very helpful and kind. You get a few places to eat food like South Indian dishes and koththu and a few places to buy liquor from. There are two waterfalls and the larger, wider one located inside the Glassough tea estate is a place where you can bathe in on a sunny day. It’s a lovely little town surrounded by tea estates!Guest review byLakshikaSri Lanka - 10.0

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!Guest review byValentineSwitzerland - 10.0
