We enjoyed our stay so much. The quietness, the nature, the view on the mountain from balcony. Super nice staff. We walked from hotel 2 km to sinharaya rainforest unesco heritage entrance. We were mesmerized by the nature in the rainforest and the surrounding. The hotel is a Super place.

Our stay at Sinharaja Forest Lodge was truly relaxing. The lodge is surrounded by lush tea plantations and beautiful greenery, making it a perfect escape into nature. Absolutely stunning location on the upper slopes of a valley in the rainforest with a wide expansive view. The most beautiful infinity pool looking over the trees with birdlife. Very kind team running the operation who are happy to help with anything. Food was great, especially in such a remote location. Incredible value for money. A short (complementary) tuk tuk ride to the entrance of Sinharaja Forest park.

One of the best experiences I had in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan are in general very warm and caring people, but these guys were exceptional. I had some problems with my bike on the way up, they picked me up and helped me to get it fixed. The contact was very easy and reliable over WhatsApp. Yes, the place is away from everything, but that’s what you‘re looking for if you go there and they make the access easy for you. They either send you the location to get there or pick you up and drive you safely with their jeep for the last part. Magic place, the cabin was simple but very clean, the perfect balance between being in nature and having a comfortable bed and good sanitaries. They offer very good breakfast, lunch and dinner and organise different tours to the rain forest (with transport). Thank you again for your help and for making my stay so special, I’d always come again!

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!
