Awesome place! Newly built (Dec 2024) and well maintained. There are 3 houses, each containing 2 rooms, so 6 rooms in total. Very friendly and welcoming staff, walking distance to Nilaveli beach (700 m), clean and spacious rooms with high ceiling, wonderful food.

Great cabanas! We stayed here 3 nights and everything was perfect! The owners are really kind and nice persons! The room was really clean and they always keep clean outside. The location is perfect because is close to the beach and the restaurants! I highly recommend this cabanas! Thank you for everything :)

I had a wonderful stay at this new villa. It was very clean, especially the rooms and bathrooms. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was available on request and it was really superb. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and it's easy to walk to the beach. There's also a nice restaurant by the beach at Golden Beach Cottages. The room prices were reasonable. I really recommend this place for a nice stay.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place. Although the pictures are very accurate, I felt that everything was better in person. Each unit is pretty private and has a nice ground level terrace, perfect for relaxing. The room was really clean and the overall environment tranquil. We also felt safe here, as there is someone always on guard and also cleaning the property. In addition, I enjoyed the beach setup with beds and cushions with covers! The welcome smoothie still goes down as one of the best that I had during my holiday. The hotel can help organize transport for various needs.

We stayed at Amanta Beach Resort for two nights and wished we would have stayed for a week! The property is beautiful and private but close enough to Nilaveli & Trinco that you could take a Tuk Tuk if you needed to. The rooms were spotless, beautiful, and everything worked perfectly (including the air con). As previous reviewers have said, the beach is your own little private slice of paradise. We were there a few weeks before the heavy season, so the seas were a bit rough, but we spent many hours lounging in the chairs on the sand! The food was amazing too! We had dinner one night and it was one of the best meals that we've had on our year abroad. The owner/chef comes out and explains everything and tells you where he got the ingredients from (mostly his on-site garden). Shyakthi and his staff make this place what it is! They all go above and beyond to make sure you're enjoying yourself and that you're comfortable. They put a lot of time and energy into the entire experience and it shows. There is a reason this hotel is rated 9+ on Booking and you should definitely come see for yourself!

A gorgeous sanctuary in a quiet area. A short walk or tuktuk ride to beach and restaurants, but very quiet and relaxing. Clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. The owner is a very friendly and interesting guy. He can arrange anything for you and tell you stories about his life. There was great internet access and every room has a balcony with table and chairs if you are working online or just enjoying a quiet sunset. The pool was clean and brand new. Every room had a kettle and small fridge for snacks if you don’t want to eat out every meal. Breakfast was great and made fresh every day. More food than you could ever finish! When they open their restaurant, I’m sure it will be great, too.

Wonderful stay – felt like home! I had a lovely, clean room with a fan and felt comfortable right away. The owner is incredibly kind, always available, super helpful and truly dedicated – you can tell he really cares about his guests. I felt well looked after and almost like at home. There’s also a small kitchen with everything you need, which was very convenient. I asked about renting a scooter and he organized one for me at a great price and even had it delivered straight to the hotel – that saved me time and transport costs. The location is great too, and I liked it so much that I ended up extending my stay by another night. Highly recommended – I would definitely come back!

    I had such a wonderful stay here. I originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up extending for another night — and I will definitely stay here again when I return to Trincomalee. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and even with just the fan on, it felt cold and refreshing. The water pressure was strong, which I really appreciated after long days out. I was also super satisfied with the lighting — the room was really bright, which I loved, especially compared to other places I’ve stayed at. The location is fantastic — just a 2-minute walk to the beach, which is the perfect spot to chill, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. On top of that, I had the best massage at the spa upstairs! What truly made my stay memorable was the amazing staff. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, always making sure I was comfortable. They often offered me free tea, and I even got a free dinner on my last night! Sura, the owner, was super friendly — I never felt alone because he would always take the time to chat and share great recommendations. I especially loved the sunset spot he told me about! I can’t wait to come back, not just to visit Trincomalee again, but because of the wonderful experience I had here. Highly recommend!

Pool area and garden with nice shades for hammocks was very relaxing. Outdoor showers were simple but convenient after a trip to the beach. Dive center is one of the best where you can rent snorkeling and scuba gear and guides.

    This location was absolutely beautiful.

    This location was absolutely beautiful. There's lots to see and do and 3 nights wasn't enough to fully enjoy the setting. Yes you can spend time at the beach and go snorkeling, but you can also visit the Thiruskoneswaram temple and eat delicious food on Sarvodaya Road. We highly recommend Rice 'n' Curry Restaurant. As well as The White House for Accommodation and Rangan Snorkeling

    I liked the small hotel we stayed in on the beach front (Mithra Paradise) and the semi-private beach. A real gem if you're looking for a quiet romantic place. Much better than the big faceless commercial hotels. I would recomemmend the small guest houses in the whole of SL for this reason as the service is exceptional and they are usually family-run so they put a lot of love and effort into pleasing their guests. No mosquitoes in July. Avoid the dolphin watching 'chasing' tours. Loads of boats making a big noise and running over the dolphins. Poor animals. You only glimpse them for a few seconds and the boat ride is hell on your back. Try the snorkelling instead.

    Trincomalee is a beautiful beach town, the beaches are amazing, lots of cultural things to do if you want, as well as lots of relaxation. Some great restaurants on the beach and in the town. The only draw back is it takes quite along time to get to (depending on where you are coming from) but that is the same across most of Sri Lanka

    it was great there.No worries about the sea,just the wind was blowing a bit strong.Com[any always around you,you are safe there.You can book snorkelling,boat rides,sea tour any time,many options available.saw about 200 DOLPHINS!fisherman always fuzzing around in the morning.Annoying fishing boats.

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places...

    We absolutely love this area, by far one of the best places in Sri Lanka. After travelling around the island, we decided just to completely chill and not check out the other beaches. We will definitely go back again and check out a few of the other beaches along that coastline. Food is fantastic and the people are very friendly! When we read up about the island, they said that this was the less developed area, but as far as I could see it was the same as most other places. Definitely has everything you need and one of the best places to completely unwind.

    A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring...

    A much more peaceful beach holiday that at neighbouring Uppaveli, so if you want to get away from the crowds, it’s a perfect spot. The surrounding countryside looks beautiful too - I wish we’d have had more time to explore. We ate at Sara’s fish restaurant, where the seafood kottu & prawn curry were delicious.
