- From $129.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 529 reviewsOur stay at Hotel Dirbach Plage was an unforgettable experience that left us utterly charmed. Nestled along the scenic Sûre River in the heart of Luxembourg's Ardennes region, this hotel is a hidden gem for nature lovers and relaxation seekers. The location is simply magical. Surrounded by lush forests and the soothing sounds of the river, it's the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The view from our room was nothing short of breathtaking, offering a front-row seat to nature's beauty. The staff at Dirbach Plage was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident in every interaction, and we felt genuinely cared for during our visit. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained. We stayed in one of the charming wooden cabins, which added an extra touch of coziness to our stay. The cabin had all the modern amenities we needed while still maintaining a rustic and authentic feel. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a culinary delight. We savored delicious local and international dishes, and the riverside setting added a touch of romance to our dining experience. The hotel's natural surroundings also provide numerous opportunities for outdoor activities. We explored the hiking trails, enjoyed a leisurely bike ride, and even tried some water sports on the river. There's no shortage of things to do for those who appreciate the great outdoors. In summary, Hotel Dirbach Plage is a true haven for anyone seeking a serene and nature-focused escape. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family in search of adventure, this place has it all. We left with memories that will last a lifetime and can't wait to return to this beautiful riverside oasis.Guest review byRodrigo UbatubaCyprus
- From $204.61 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 1,156 reviewsAmazing room- a suite that included a living area opening onto a balcony. Stunning full picture window of the hills. Comfortable mattress (that you can flip to adjust firmness). Lovely in-room amenities (bathrobes, slippers, beverages, bath0 and a really well designed room (easy to have a spot for everything that made sense and was functional). Amazing location- I went for a run in the Grun Holle (Green Hell) rock formation in the morning. Great spa amenities (regular sauna, infared sauna, indoor pool). Restaurant on site. Friendly staff who were efficient and got their jobs done. I would recommend this stay to anyone. Breakfast had plenty of choices for me and they even made me a soft boiled egg on demand. I had almost no issues here!Guest review byJanaUnited States
- From $173.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,086 reviewsThis hotel is absolutely beautiful! The outdoor restaurant area is stunning, full of vibrant flowers and lush greenery—it felt like dining in a garden. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, and the food was delicious. We were lucky to stay in a spacious, quiet room that was perfect for our family of three. We slept incredibly well thanks to the peaceful atmosphere. The bio pool was a lovely touch, and the wellness area was spotless and relaxing—definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Staying at this hotel truly enhanced our experience in Luxembourg. During dinner, we sampled a few local Luxembourgish wines, and they were excellent!Guest review bySérgioGermany

It's a high standard city where old meets new architecture. It offers free public transport. The city center has many panoramic points from where you can see the old neighborhood Grund. The city has many urban gardens and green spaces. The weather may be cold and rainy. Overall is an elegant small cityGuest review byANAMARIARomania - 10.0

Berdorf is my favorite go-to location if I wanna go on a hiking weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where I live, so very doable for a weekendtrip. The entire Echternach region in beautiful (check out the Mullerthal Trail), but the region around Berdorf is especially beautiful. The forests around Berdorf all have those typical rock formations with stairs and ladders, little chasms etc that really make it so much more interesting than a normal forest hike. The town itself is very small and is really just meant to spend the night in between two days of heavy hiking.Guest review byFilipBelgium - 6.0

I wasnt there long, an overnight stop with a morning walk into the town. The petrol prices were pretty reasonable and there was a decent supermaket and mini mall at the bottom of the town. If staying for a short break I would probably get a hotel in Luxembourg City, as although all transport in the country is free its stops at 2300. Also to be fair I was there on a Monday night so maybe its a bit livelier at weekends?Guest review byDomreevesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Big green parks, vineyards on the slopes, friendly people, beautiful lake with ducks and white swans. Interesting to find a small vine in front of most garages or front doors where we walked. Not many cars so it was easy to walk everywhere. Easy to get around as public transport is free and you just have to check the time table of the bus routes. The Peking Duck, fried rice and fried noodles are delicious at White Swan, the beef is mouth watering. The Italian restaurant on the left serves good Italian food. We met friends in Remich where we ate great pizzas. And we went wine tasting and walked on the bridge which connects with Germany. 😊Guest review bySiow LuMauritius - 4.0
Wilz. What a disappointment.
Wilz. What a disappointment. For such a large town in the Ardenne with all its great country trails and forests around, the town has little to offer except being a base to sleep. It feels very functional and food choices ae limited. It's high spots are the chateau grounds and its Battle of Bulge museum, some other gardens and a memorial tower, but plan for less than 1/2 day. Sports facilities are a plus point too - not that you'll need extra fitness - streets are steep. For one solid memory, head west out of town to the National liberation memorial at the Schumanns Eck crossroads. It recognises the allies liberation of the area in late 1944-45 through a 3km installation trail of 65 life-size silhouettes images of real US and German soldiers and civilians present during the Ardennes offensive. Go early and in eerie silence appreciate your freedom.Guest review byNiks travelUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Luxembourg has so much to offer.
Luxembourg has so much to offer. Take advantage of the free transportation. You may have to rent a car to get to more remote locations; like Vianden Castle or Mullerthal. The history of the country is amazing and the shopping and food are great. We spent a week and barely touched the surface.Guest review byeuUnited States - 10.0
The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic.
The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic. Highly recommend taking the time to see the exhibition before touring the chateau. We also took the chairlift up to the high viewing point and had a few drinks. Not the cheapest but nowhere in Luxembourg is cheap. The views were great and it was worth the trip. We also visited the newly refurbished open air swimming pool which the kids loved and added a bit of relaxation to the trip. It was very clean and well maintained. The town itself has plenty of bars and restaurants to sample during a short stay, especially the ones with views over the riverGuest review byJackUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Bollendorf is in a nice setting but the town has few facilities, and speaking to locals it appears much of the tourist business has been damaged by a combination of COVID lockdowns and the devastating floods in 2021.Guest review byRichard HounsellUnited Kingdom
