Contrary to other reviews, we loved the laid back and friendly vibe in El Jadida. The streets and roadside gardens were clean and neat. The Portuguese walls and village within were fabulous. Lastly, there were lots of very reasonable little restaurants.Guest review bySallySouth Africa - 10.0

Feels a bit like undiscovered St Tropez. Beautiful, striking views, nature, bird watching. Unfortunately, the way they cooked fish at most places was not up to par for us. Very nice city and friendly people.
Very nice city and friendly people. Personally I prefer the quiet places. Unlikely Marrakesh, Safi is very quiet and nice city to discover and learn about in a week, you will be able to make friends easily and recognise the locals quicker. The portuguese fortification on the seashore was spectacular.There is a wonderful beach nearby. Far less foreign tourists than other places. It was a dream house, with all amenities.
