- From US$370.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 338 reviewsI had a wonderful time at Hotel Menzeh Zalagh and I am very grateful for my stay there. Both of the rooms in which I stayed were spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable and the mini fridge was unbelievably convenient. Each room also had a balcony with a beautiful view - this was a really nice touch and allowed me to soak up the atmosphere and relax. The rooms also had a desk which I personally found really helpful to use when going through emails and doing my skincare. I also really enjoyed the food that I had in the hotel. The breakfast selection is varied with a mixture of hot and cold items. There are also pastries and a coffee machine. The hotel Pizzeria restaurant was my preferred go to for my evening meals and I would absolutely recommend the steak dish - it was so so so good and I wish I could have some right now! Finally, I have to give a special mention to the staff of this hotel who made me feel so welcomed and looked after. I met multiple staff members during my stay and all of them were so kind and helpful. It was reassuring to know that I had someone to call upon if I needed help. This is a really nice hotel and it is one that I would love to visit again whether on my own or with my family.Guest review byHumnaUnited Kingdom
- From US$721.05 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 290 reviewsBeautifully restored and tastefully decorated riad in the medina. The staff is amazing, very friendly, professional and giving personal attention. The swimming pool area is beautiful. If you go to Fes in the summer, the swimming pool is a must. The rooms are spacious and decorated with the best local materials, the tiles are amazing. Breakfast has a great selection of local fresh products. We visited other riads in Fes for dinner or lunch but none approached the perfection of this place. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Fes and I already long to go back.Guest review byMugeNetherlands
- From US$228.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 76 reviewsPalais Sheherazade is pure luxury in the heart of Fes. The architecture is stunning, with intricate tilework, carved wood, and a peaceful courtyard. Rooms are elegant, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The service? Flawless—staff go above and beyond. The food is authentic and delicious, and the rooftop dining is a must. The hammam and spa are top-tier, perfect for unwinding. If you want a mix of history, comfort, and first-class hospitality, this place is unbeatable. 10/10.Guest review byHamzaMorocco
- From US$266.10 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 166 reviewsThe decor and furniture inside the riad are unbelievable. Everywhere you went it was visually amazing. Each of the many areas had a different character and feel, which made the overall experience incredibly broad and diverse. Excellent value for money given how opulent and classy it was. We will definitely return there if we go back to Fes.Guest review byFrancesFrance

The medina is a Unesco protected cultural heritage.
The medina is a Unesco protected cultural heritage. Too bad the only thing you can see, apart from some (mostly closed) gates, is old narrow streets and shops. Locals prey on tourists in order to squeeze them dry :) In Rabat or Salé you can get a more authentic sense of a medina without the commercial pressure.Guest review byPeterItaly - 6.0
There were a lot of artisans which was nice.
There were a lot of artisans which was nice. We were often set upon by people trying to take us somewhere and wanting money, even when we said no they wouldn’t leave us alone. After a time we didn’t stop anywhere which really was a shame. The amount of garbage was also quite distressing and took away from some of the sights. We took a tour to the middle Atlas Mountains which was really lovely. The food was good everywhere we ate in the Medina.Guest review byDorisCanada - 4.0
The issue was that I booked accommodation in the old medina...
The issue was that I booked accommodation in the old medina which is a labyrinth. This leaves tourists being constantly harassed by locals trying to scam money from them or deliberately deceiving them about closed streets, etc. Skip Fez and go to Marrakech and Essouira. So much better without all the hassles:)Guest review byRichardUnited States
