This is an immaculate Moroccan palace that is breathtakingly beautiful. Every floor, wall, staircase, ceiling and bathroom are covered with the most delicately carved colorful art. Materials are clay, wood, iron, stone and textile, all handcrafted to perfection. The rooftop terrace (shown as the cover for this property) is amazing. Bottom line, do not miss.

Location, garden, rooms (showers) and breakfast were all amazing. Jawad’s welcoming service to get all our bags to our room was so helpful. Wine tour was informative, she was friendly and knowledgeable. Mehdi Alaoni did a terrific job explaining the wines during wine tasting.

What an experience 👏 i was traveling for work the atmosphere was spectacular i'had a chance to try the food at the restaurant was so delicious with a beautiful view of sunset. The staff very helpful and professional actually it quite feels like u're home. I wasn't exited about booking in this hotel after I read bad comments about the bad noise but I was chocked that I heard nothing I'm definitely coming back to this hotel and I really recommended it for any one either for work or pleasure. Do not forget my stay was a lot easier with the help of the receptionists within orientation as informations . Thank you 😊 💓

Very welcoming, respectful and helpful staff. The location is not in a touristy place but in the heart of an ancient neighborhood, with no car access. About 1/2 mile of walk through sinuous streets lead to this gem of a riadh. All neighbors know it and can direct to either front or back door. It is like a personal small castle in a Moorish fantasy of (1001) Arab Nights, yet no music or entertainment. The room and bathroom are spacious, with ethnic furniture, adorned ceilings, and colorful excavated windows. Tinted geometrical windows let beautiful and colorful rays shine for a serene wake-up. The bathroom walls are fully covered in zellige, the basin is in copper. The patio and garden are a delight to relax and enjoy sunbathing and lounging. Huge living rooms with Moorish style divans at each floor are welcoming for parties? The decor in the staircase and hallways is amazingly authentic. Be ready to climb stairs! The receptionist was particularly kind to offer to run a few grocery errands: fruits, yogurts, and water. Would have loved to have access to a tea pot with tinted glasses to enjoy the flavorful mint tea! The breakfast and cleaning lady has patiently explained how to get to the medina and enrolled the owner's brother to walk me through. He was so kind and faithful as he was heading on a Friday to honor his Mom's in visiting her tomb. Medina is very close (a mile away) once one has joined the main square. Next time, I would seek a room with viewing on the indoor patio and garden.

this hotel was exceptional!!! Clean, friendly staff, and very helpful with my 8 month old! they have pack and play cribs which was a life saver, and my room had a nice balcony. the shower was amazing but I didn’t end up using it because I did the hammam, another must of you stay here!! I have never felt so clean in my entire life! I had booked for 2 nights and needed to. angel one of them at the last minute due to a family emergency, and they reimbursed me for that day no questions asked.

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream. Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum. Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.

A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility

A Hidden Gem for Peace and Tranquility Nestled far from the hustle and bustle of modern cities, this town offers a serene retreat into a simpler, more peaceful way of life. The charm of the town lies in its timeless atmosphere, where modernity is far from the priority. Here, life moves at a slower pace. The architecture of Moulay Idriss mosque is nothing short of breathtaking, The intricate tiles and majestic arches tell stories of a rich cultural heritage, while the fountains within the mosque add a sense of tranquility and spiritual serenity. It’s a place where you can spend hours marveling at the craftsmanship and feeling completely at peace. The landscapes are equally captivating, with vast stretches of olive trees dotting the hillsides. What makes this town even more special is its people — respectful , down to earth and welcoming, they embody the warmth of a culture that values tradition and hospitality. There’s no fuss here, just a genuine sense of community.

Don't believe the online videos or guidebooks that say that the whole of Meknes is a building site! While there is a lot of renovation going on, there are still marvelous things to see and do. The medina is very interesting and comes with very little hassling. Its worth taking a day trip - or longer - to the mid Atlas mountains.

I didn't enjoy Meknès itself that much but I would certainly recommend visiting the partially restored Roman city ruins of Volubilis. It's about a 45 mins drive up the mountains. Keep your speed limited to 60 km/h though as there are a lot of police speed traps! It costs 70 dh to enter the grounds and around 200 dh to get a guide to show you around (mine spoke excellent English).
