The 4 star hotel is calm, and offering all kind of services required at this level. We had a family room (2 rooms linked with a door) with bathroom/shower on each side. Rooms had large balconies with a beautiful view on the marina and the ruins of the medieval church. Parking was available 200 meters away at the Grand Hotel Bernardin for free. Very good breakfast and dinner in a nice place, having high variety and high quality of food and beverages. Pool area is quiet and family friendly with slides and whirlpool for the kids. It is also possible to go out to the seaside with using your card and have a bath in the sea as well. Despite the October we have tried it and the water was lovely. Dubrovnik is very popular for good reasons, but also quite expensive. Best: relax on Lokrum island. Worst: you HAVE to do the city walls in one go - if you exit, you must pay €40 again. Zadar was recommended to us by friends. It was a lovely old town with loads of bars and restaurants. Everyone was friendly, we didn't see anything that made us feel unsafe. The promenade walk around the small marina at the Land Gate, to the Sea Organ and onto the larger marina was lovely. We took a boat trip to 3 islands (4 hours) on a speedboat which was really enjoyable. It might be worth checking which days the cruise ships are in port as it made a massive difference to how busy the Old Town was. We hired a car and had trips out to Zaton, Nin and Pag. Pag was amazing, it was like going to the moon next to the sea. We were forecast to have a day of thundery showers (but it never happened!) so we booked a session at the Visnjik sports centre to play Padel and keep dry. Budva, like the other cities in Montenegro, is a fantastic place, nice beaches, a very beautiful old town,has a lot of water activities and night life is brimming . It is indeed a destination worthy of travelling for both young and old. Just be ready with lots cash because most of the shops and restaurants there only accepts cash. There are ATMs everywhere but there are charges. Transportation wise, if you are just in Budva, everything is walking distance, going to the beach or the old town, there are just minutes away. But, if you want to visit other places, taking a bus is the most effective way, it's cheaper than taking a taxi where the driver will ask a ridiculous price. Just go to the bus station and buy the tickets there in cash, don't buy them online because once you arrive at the bus station, they will ask you to print it otherwise it's null and void, they have printing servie there but it's gonna be another pay (1 euro per print).Guest review byMurphy JohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. Beautiful old town, essential to take a boat trip along the bay to view the majestic mountains. The cable car is also a great activity, not only do you get a view of Kotor Bay but when you get to the top there is a lot to explore. The roads are very busy so it takes a while to get around. Essential to book a taxi before you arrive at the airport as the taxis from there are very expensive. Absolutely amazing scenery. Pula is a lovely, surprising destination. A working port that also has a stunning coastline. The old town is like a mini Rome complete with an intact roman arena. People are friendly and the small city has a nice cosmopolitan feel. Public transport is easy to use and has an extensive network. Great place with old narrow streets. We enjoyed them during the first day, the second day we took a half day boat (Red Island, Lin Fjord, Pirates Cave, Music, wine, delicious fish) and right after we left the boat, we rent electric scooters to go through the entire Punta Corrente and the next 10km. forests and beaches (two hours rent was enough).
