No noise from other rooms, close to large mosque so you will hear the call to prayer. Decent, and plentiful, breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful (though a little French or Arabic will certainly help you as while most staff did, some didn't speak English). Centrally located in a good area - supermarket just across the road and restaurants very close. Free airport transfer in both directions (very welcome as the airport I 30km or so from the city), driver was waiting with a name board at arrivals when I landed. Don't expect any real tourist attractions. Take it for what it is. Go to the same store every day and get to know the person that works there. Find a hole-in-the-wall restaurant and go there each day and try everything (or the same thing if they only have 1 item on the menu). Nice and beautiful city. Don’t get hasseled into anything considering everyone is looking to make some money. Big city, with a big market, make sure you discus prices with every cab drivers.
