Located on a dead end street this new hotel is in Paceville (St Julian) near all the hustle and bustle but also close to the main road which connects St Julian to Valetta. Easy to be accessed and to be departed by car/taxi/foot. In a walking distance there're plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. We were upgraded to a room with balcony which was very clean and comfortable and had a great soundproofing. The king size bed & the pillows were very comfortable for us. The 40" flat smart tv including YouTube & Netflix streamed perfectly. Minifridge, safe, kettle and expresso machine are available in the minibar. There're plenty of plugs (UK type) including USB A and USB C near the bed. Excellent breakfast with a lot of options to choose from. During the day & evenings the breakfast area becomes Jumu restaurant which we definitely recommend especially in case you arrive late for check-in (good selection of Maltese and international vines and excellent service). Indoor spa area was very clean and well maintained includes a finish sauna, a 4 persons jacuzzi and a ~15 m/5 m indoor heated pool which is opened round the clock. A decent sized gym is also available in the same spa dedicated area. On the rooftop there's a second ~20m/7 m pool also heated with a great view over St Julian's downtown. The parking available in hotel's underground was great to leave our rented car since since around the hotel the parking places are limited.

Everything was great about this hotel, impeccably clean, excellent services and lovely breakfast. The room was spacious, clean and modern. I had no issues at all and had a very relaxing stay in a beautiful and calm area of the island.

    Ax Sunny Coast was in a good spot. Not too busy but enough going to feel a buzz. Bus stop convenient to hotel. Hop on Hop off bus and travel centre across the road. Two lovel restaurants as part of the group as well as a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. Close to the Aquarium and Cafe Dek Mar night club. Our room had great views 611 of the water however I think some rooms would not have a great view. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Pretty clean and rooms serviced every 3 days. The decor in the room may need some updating but it is still neat and has a great Kitchenette. There is a mini mart across the road or 10 minutes walk to Welbees aupermarket if you wanted to buy a little cheaper. Also there is an ATM machine across the road.

    The entire hotel was a piece of art! The decoration was exceptional! Our room was very big and perfectly clean and the mattress was very comfortable! The location was more than convenient! All bars, restaurants, pubs, cafes, sightseeing bus stations, etc. were within walking distance (literally 1 min). The breakfast was great with a big variety and the infinity pool was absolutely magical with the view of the bay. Last but not least! All the people working at the hotel and the pool were more than polite and helpful! Thank you for all, we will definitely visit you again!

    Location of the hotel is great, especially with the pool and private entrance to the sea where you have view onto beautiful bay. Walking distance to the restaurants in a bay or even to Paceville road... Breakfast in this hotel is one of best we tried. Rooms are spacious, with climate control, balcony, big beds. Or room was looking to back side of hotel, but you still have amazing see view, so you don't need to push for sea/pool view rooms. Pool bar and prices are ok, there is small store in the lobby which is convenient.

    Breakfast was great. Staff is always smiling and helpful. SPA and spa services were amazing. Outdoor pools were fantastic. Got upgraded to a junior suit and had wonderful views of the city and the sea. Check out process was smooth and they were very accomodating. Bed was comfy, the rooms were clean and everything seemed well maintained. Booking in this hotel has made our vacation even better than we expected! We highly recommend it!

    I loved everything about this hotel. We stayed in 5 hotels with this price range while being in Malta. This was definitely the best one. Both of the pools were super nice. Our room was nice and large, the view was nice. Breakfast had chefs cooking things on the spot in open kitchen. View from the pools was great. Loved the adult only bar and pool, we are tired of seeing children jump in. Staff was lovely as well.

    I start saying thanks all those hard working people all those are really polite.We stayed 4 nights It was excellent all over breakfast was really good with few changes every day many items. Location proper centre bus stops nearby. Valletta about 30 min by bus. Swimming pools and sauna was bonus really cool. Definitely we would go back. Thanks from us.

    It is very busy in St Julians and Paceville is geared up for the youngsters. There was loads of people near the pubs and clubs in Paceville. A lot of people just barge past you and have no etiquette. Bars are mixed with some are cheap and others are expensive. Same with restaurants. You need to research the area to get the best deals on bars and restaurants. There are late night supermarkets open. Bars and restaurants open late too Spinola bay and ballutta bay are more scenic which has lovely views. Be careful when crossing the road as there are a lot of cars and there are not many pedestrian crossings

    The beach was clean and sunbeds with umbrellas were great. They even provided a separate towel to lie on. This was a small cost for the use of it all day. The bar and restaurant weren’t part of our hotel but just a stones throw, so perfect. Lots of rocks to lie on and ladders used in parts to get into the sea. St. Paul’s Bay is a pretty town with shops, restaurants, and beachside cafes, easy to get around using ferry and Uber.

    "Sliema was absolutely charming. Having previously stayed in St. Paul's Bay and St. Julian's, we found that Sliema was just a short 5-minute bus ride or a pleasant 15-minute walk between the two. Both areas offer an excellent selection of dining options and vibrant bars. Malta, as a whole, is a delightful destination and a perfect choice for a memorable vacation."

    Valletta has lots to offer - old buildings, churches, and beautiful coastline. There are endless places to eat - we had meals at Casa Ellul (fine dining, excellent), Rubino (robust local food, good), Legliglin (fixed menu), Kings Own Band Club (robust local food - I liked this place a lot - the food was hearty, unpretentious and fairly priced), and Noni (Michelin star, fixed menu, highly pretentious, flavours not as exquisite as the price suggests). Valletta is not an easy destination for people of reduced mobility as it is hilly. But it is a lovely town to walk around - lots of beautiful views and many viewpoints. The buses are extremely easy to use so getting around the island from Valletta is simple.

    I like to stay in Gzira, but to travel from here to other destinations in Malta. Gzira is noisy, dusty, too much traffic. Good enough to stay to sleep and to travel/swim/visit anywhere else in Malta. Gzira = good base for trips.

    Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed...

    Although I have been to Mellieha before and it has changed enormously in the last 25 years, I think it is still one of the most charming parts of Malta. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, a fair few of which I have visited and every one was excellent. I could not fault the village in any way I would certainly recommend this as a holiday destination. Although very hilly, I believe that is part of its charm and I have stayed in other parts of Malta, all of which have their own attraction.

    Quiet fishing bay with more locals than tourists.

    Quiet fishing bay with more locals than tourists. Water is super clean here and safe swimming straight off the rocks. Great beach bars with tasty food and fantastic happy hours. A fabulous array of super high quality restaurants (not cheap). TalFamija and Nargile Lounge were particularly good along with Legends for cocktails.

    Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to...

    Msida is a great location to stay being perfectly placed to visit the busy areas of Valletta, Sliema and St Julian's. The marina is amazing with some of the best restaurants in Malta just a short distance away on foot or by Uber or Bolt. Buses run to all parts of the island from stops within walking distance of the centre. Breakfast at the Busy Bee in Msida is a must as is a visit to their ice cream parlour in the evening.

    Not your normal seaside holiday resort.

    Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.

    Having travelled around GOZO and MALTA for 2 weeks you realise it is a small place and you can get everywhere within 30 mins. We could have stayed in Valletta and done a day trip to here and it would have been enough.
