Staff are friendly and thoughtful, working proactively and make my stay feeling at home. Bob is so nice a person and the staff and the excursion are helpful too. All the staff are willing to help even before you realize you may need them. I will definitely stay at the Arena Beach next time I come to Maafushi. We stayed at the Lea spa hotel for one night. They were helpful from the booking stage itself. Answered our queries promptly. They arranged a hassle-free speedboat service for us from the airport to Maafushi and to the airport. They picked us up from the Maafushi boatyard and were very welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. They have a rooftop restaurant and the food was good. It is within walking distance of the water sports area and the beach. Overall it was a pleasant stay! Thank you Lea Spa team.

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crystal Sands Hotel during my holiday, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the hotel's team made me feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Firstly, the team was incredibly helpful by meeting us at the Harbor and even assisting with our luggage. The hotel's prime location, just across from the harbor, made it extremely convenient and easy to access. It was such a relief not having to worry about navigating my way to the hotel with heavy bags. Upon arrival, I was greeted with refreshing fresh fruit juice, which was a delightful touch. The staff at the reception were always smiling and friendly, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. To my pleasant surprise, I was even upgraded to a room that exceeded my expectations. The rooms themselves were beautifully decorated and had a cozy ambiance. The beds were comfortable, with soft duvets and fluffy pillows that provided a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring. I also appreciated the thoughtful provision of water and coffee in the rooms, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast at Crystal Sands Hotel was a delightful experience. There was a range of fresh and delicious options to choose from, but my personal favorite was the omelette station. The chefs prepared made-to-order omelettes with a variety of fillings, ensuring a delightful start to the day. Throughout my stay, the hotel's maintenance staff did an excellent job of keeping the premises clean and tidy. Whether it was sweeping up the sand or attending to any cleaning needs, they were diligent in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. One evening, I experienced a heavy rainfall, and the hotel staff demonstrated their exceptional hospitality. They offered me coffee and cake while I waited in the reception area, ensuring my comfort during the unexpected weather event.

    From end to end, our stay at Anantara Dhigu was smooth, relaxing and beautiful. Firstly, the resort staff is there for you from arrival until the check-in at the airline desk. I didn’t see many other resort providing this level of service to the other tourists lining up at the airport. You are greeted on arrival and the boat trip to the resort is only a little bit over half an hour, making it very convenient after traveling long haul. We stayed in an over water sunset villa and it was simply stunning. Some have hammock nets over the water and some have pools, both options looked lovely depending on your personal preference/need. The villa is clean and spacious, and is decorated tastefully. It feels very private and the view was beautiful. We opted for the half board option and that suited us well. We mostly ate at Fushi Cafe with the exception of one lunch at Aqua and one dinner at Baan Huraa but those just didn’t live up to the exceptional food at Fushi Cafe. There was a lot of choice as well as variation from day to day. The resort itself is very well designed and there is plenty of exploring to do, both on land and in water. As it sits in a lagoon, it also provides for shelter from wind on one side even on the windier days. Our villa for example tended to get a lot of wind but when dining at Fushi Cafe on the other side of the island, it was very peaceful. It is also easy to wade in the water to snorkel island and snorkel in the coral reef there. There is a pontoon constantly operating between Dhigu and Veli making it very easy to go to the other island. Compared to the other resorts I think this location within the lagoon and spanning over several islands makes it so interesting and unique. There are so many things I could mention but these are what were really memorable and noteworthy, as well as the staff of course who are very polite and attentive. I would definitely visit again.

    We had a great time at this wonderful resort. It is only some 45 mins by boat from Male. The staff are extremely kind and courteous. The team responsible for sea excursions is very informative and helpful. The restaurant provides a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were booked at half board and there were plenty of options to have a snack during the day at very reasonable prices. The room had all the needed amenities and was cleaned twice a day. Each room had its allocated sun beds in an idyllic environment. It takes around 15/20 minutes to walk around the island to see nature at its best. The sea immediately around this island is already beautiful to swim in and snorkel. The excursions to nearby reefs add to the experience of seeing turtles, mantas, harmless nurse sharks and all kinds of colourful fish (some of which can be seen in the vicinity of the hotel) . The island is very welcoming, well kept and very clean. A place to revisit time and time again.

    We had absolutely amazing stay! We were upgraded to Triton Beach and Spa hotel, they offered us early check in and late check out at the end, for free. Staff was very friendly, kind, always ready to help and going beyond their tasks to make us happy. Room was well equipped and cleaned every day. Buffet breakfast was simple but tasty. We bought some excursions which were very well organized. We highly recommend to stay here!

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.

    Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !

    Please ensure you book inclusive package as food and drink outside of the package will be expensive. Take mosquito repellents and your own shower gel, shampoos and conditioners. This is because the provision of shower items is not good at all. (They might as well say, shower items not provided). If you want clean rooms and showers, do NOT go here.

    I had an absolutely fantastic stay at South Male Atoll / SUN SIYAM OLHUVELI! It take 45 mins from MALE airport to the island by speedboat. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The level of service provided was impeccable, and every team member I encountered was professional, friendly, and attentive to details.

    Small but very nice bikini beach. unfortunately the island is much more dirty than other islands that we visited, a lot of plastic pollution which is just very sad. The choice of restaurants is not very big, but the Ayala one is just perfect.

    Its perfect for startup swimmers since it has shallow clear nice beach. Picture perfect and has a little sand bank just on the bikini beach that I liked most.. No housereef nearby..so no fish and coral..overall sandy clear water shallow beach..less shadow trees around..1/2 days trip will b perfect though, atleast better than mafushi..

    Biyadhoo is a perfect place for people who want an amazing...

    Biyadhoo is a perfect place for people who want an amazing Maldives experience at an affordable rate. The food was incredible. We gained so much weight in just 4 days. There was white sand, clean sea chairs to relax on, wildlife, and incredible staff. We also went for a beginners scuba diving experience and the instructor Rosa was beyond kind, patient, and wonderful. We had the best experience ever.
